ちょっと行かないうちに、田町駅東口の景観がガラッと変わっていました。階段を下りて左側の再開発が進行するなか、三井住友不動産の高層ビルがドーンの屹立していました。そして、田町駅と高層ビルを結ぶ通路工事が進み、東口の空間が重層化しようとしています。
While I was gone for a short time, the scenery of the east exit of Tamachi Station had changed drastically.
Down the stairs to the left, the Sumitomo Mitsui Fudosan skyscraper stands tall amidst the ongoing redevelopment of the area.
The passageway connecting Tamachi Station and the high-rise building is under construction, and the space of the East Exit is about to become multilayered.

私が田町に勤務した頃は、東京ガスの丸い大きなガスタンクや芝浦工業大学のほか、芝浦ふ頭の倉庫が立ち並び、沖電気のでっかい工場があり、そこの労働者や荷役で働く人たちが多く見られました。駅前には立ち飲み、立ち食いのお店が並び朝夕の雰囲気を比べると、現在とはまったく異なっていました。

その後、JALシティなどのビジネスホテルが建ち、運河周辺には高層ビルが増え、海辺と水辺には高層マンションが次々と建てられ、現在の田町駅乗降客数では西口を完全に逆転しています。運河と高層ビルを縫うようにモノレールが走る景観は、ますますその価値を高め、三井住友不動産が宣伝しているとおり「田町は東京で一番成長している」ことが分かります。
Later, business hotels such as JAL City were built at the east exit of Tamachi Station.
Furthermore, more high-rise buildings were built around the canal, and high-rise condominiums were built one after another along the seaside and waterfront, completely reversing the West Exit of Tamachi Station in terms of current number of passengers.
The view of the monorail running through the Shibaura Canal and skyscrapers is increasingly valuable, and as Sumitomo Mitsui Fudosan advertises, "Tamachi is the fastest growing area in Tokyo.
