On a fine autumn day, I went to Toshima Kumin Center early in the morning.
There was a Shigin event.
The event is held every year in spring and fall, and in spring the cherry blossoms in the park in front of the Toshima Kumin Center are in full bloom.
At the entrance of the park, there was a big sign that said "No Smoking While Walking."
Since it is not a "No smoking on the street," there are a few stand ashtrays in the park.
There are also smoking rooms on every other floor in the ward center.
Some of the teachers who play shigin are cigarette smokers, and today I took the initiative to talk to them.
Mr. S. smokes Mild Seven Extra Light and has been playing shigin for 40 years since he started at the age of 24.
I had the opportunity to listen to him recite poems, and it was very informative.
