'The best collection you'll ever read!' Osamu Dazai", No. 3, in "Onna Gakusei", bitterly criticises the "Shikishima", a cigarette with a mouthpiece that is not a double-cut cigarette, although it is not a cigarette with a filter as we know it today. The double-slit cigarettes inevitably have tobacco tines on the lips and are yucky, so the 'Shikishima', which has a hollow mouthpiece that alleviates this as much as possible, must have been popular. In contrast, I am complaining that cigarettes are only a double cut. It is interesting to see how serious Osamu Dazai is about something that seems so unimportant.
