ボランティアの特典が素晴らしい！

 昨夜仕込んだ甘麹大成功！
生姜たっぷり甘酒、温まります(#^^#)

さてさて、「つづき」です。

 

実は、TIFFのボランティアには、素晴らしい特典があるんです。

「映画を無料で見ることができる」
（ただし、チケットをゲットできるのは、前日と当日のみ。）

今仕事をしていない、つまり収入を得てない私にとって、
こんなに嬉しいことはないのです。
（ちなみに普通なら、TIFFの映画一本見るのに１００NOK、約１３４０円）

Actually TIFF volunteers are given great privileges, in that we can watch every film for free!
(But getting tickets is limited to the day before and the same day.)
There is nothing more pleasant than this for me who don’t work, and have no income now.（Normally a ticket costs 100NOK, about1340Yen for watching one film of TIFF）

それにしても・・・映画も国の数も、なんて多いんだ！

But・・・how many films and countries!

ノルウェー、スウェーデン、デンマーク、ハンガリー、ベルギー、イタリヤ、ネーデルランド、ドイツ、スペイン、オーストリア、アイルランド、フランス、スイス、ロシア、アメリカ、メキシコ、ペルー、カナダ、中国、インド、エチオピア、ウルグアイ、アラブ首長国連邦、ブラジル、イラク、チュニジア、コロンビア、ベネズエラ、アルゼンチン、チリ・・・などなど・・・

そして日本！

Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Austria, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Russia, USA, Mexico, Canada, China, India, Ethiopia, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Iraq, Tunisia, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile・・・and so on・・・

and Japan!

 

あらすじなどノルウェー語と英語で書いた冊子もあるんですよ。
でも、それ読むのも時間がかかる・・・私は・・・(*_*)

There is a TIFF program book which describes the outline of stories and so on, in Norwegian and English.
But it takes a long time to read for me.・・・(*_*

私は自分に言いました。

わからなくてもいいよ。
とにかく直観に任せてみよう。
ただ、字幕を全部読めるようにだけがんばってみよう。

I told myself.

It’s OK if I can’t understand.
I’ll trust my intuition!
But I’ll just try to read all subtitles in time!

 

気が楽になって、
シリアスな映画が多かったのですが、
一日４本も見ちゃいました！

I became relaxed
and I watched 4 films a day,
although there were a lot of serious films.

そして、ボランティの仕事もチェックしてこれました(^_-)-☆

ガーーーーン！な始まり

「また来年会おうね～！」
そう、来年もこのボランティアさせていただきたい！
そう思ってます。だけど、始まりは全く違ったんです。(>_<)

聞いてくださいませ。(#^^#)

But I didn’t think so at the beginning at all. (>_<)

ボランティアの事前ミーティングの日、
説明はノルウェー語でなく英語でされました。

ところが、聞き取りの苦手な私は、案の定わかりません。
ほとんどついていけず、質問することもできません。

On the day of the preparation meeting for volunteers,
they explained in English, not Norwegian.

But I am not very good with spoken English,
 so understanding was dificult, as I had feared.
I could hardly follow them,
so I couldn’t ask any questions.

休憩時間に誰かに聞こうと思っていたのに、
皆散っていくではないですか。

いったい誰に聞いたらいいの？

私はやっと見つけた一人の女性に声をかけました。
驚いたことに彼女は、
すぐにボランティアのリーダーを呼んでくれるではないですか。
私は最低限のことを質問することができ、ほっとしました。

彼女は、まるで救いの神のようでした！

 

I was going to ask someone during break time,
but almost everybody had gone somewhere.

So I wondered who can I ask・・・?

Finally I found a woman and talked to her.
To my surprise she immediately called the leader of the volunteers.
So I could ask the leader some minimal questions and be relieved.

She was like a life saver!

次は試写会。
ちょっとルンルンしてきました。

ところが、字幕は英語・・・
字幕は読み切れないし、
途中居眠りするし、
全くわからない。

ガーーーーン！

Then the next thing on the program was to watch a film.
I was getting a bit excited! 

But, the subtitles were written in English…
My reading was too slow to read all in time
and I fell asleep for a time in the middle.
I couldn’t understand at all.

Ga ――― n!

ボランティアが始まるまでに、見れるだけ映画を見たる！

そう思うのが精一杯でした。。

トロムソ国際映画祭でボランティア！

私が今回楽しみにしていたことが始まりました。

トロムソ国際映画祭（TIFF）

１８日から２４日まで、９会場で
朝9時からから夜中の１２時まで上映されます。
（夜中の１２時スタートのもある）

その数、なんと１１０本！

日本映画も2本選ばれています。
・「あん」（監督：河直美、主演：樹木希林）
・「SUMMER WARS」(監督：細田守)

What I have been looking forward to this time has started.
It’s Tromso international film festival (TIFF).
It will be held at nine places 9:00~24:00 from 18th to 24th
There are about 110 different films!!

There are two Japanese films too, these are
・“an” (Director: Naomi Kawase. Starring: Kirin Kiki)
・‟SUMMER WARS” (Director: Mamoru Hosoda)

私もこのTIFFのボランティアをさせてもらいます。
前回来た時に、
「トロムソで私も何か社会にかかることがしたい」
という私にトロムソ在住の日本人が勧めてくれたんです。

できるかどうかはわからないけど、やってみることにして、
去年の１１月にボランティアに申し込みました。
そこで、今日は、ボランティアの認証などいろいろともらってきました。
I will do volunteer work for this year’s TIFF.
I wanted to take part in something social,
so a Japanese who lives in Tromso suggested this to me the last time I visited Tromso.

I didn’t know if I could do it,
but I decided to try and I applied as a volunteer last November.
So today I went to pick up volunteer accreditation and volunteer items.

そこで面白い光景を見ました。

ずっと笑いもせずずっと座っていた若い女性にスタッフが話しかけました。
「誰か待っているの？」
「ううん」。

二人は少し話したその直後、
スタッフが説明をしているなと思ったら、
その彼女はスタッフに代わって受付で仕事を始めたのです。
そして、一皮めくれたように表情もニコニコに！

I saw an interesting scene there.
The staff talked to a lady who had been sitting for a long time without a smile.
“Are you waiting for somebody?”
“No”.
They were talking a bit and that staff seemed to explain about the reception.
Soon after that, this lady began working in the reception instead of the original staff.
And she opened up and her face became a big smile!

なんておおらかなの！
だから、私もさせてもらえるんだわ。

How open minded!
So I can also be a volunteer here.

いったいどんなことが起こるのでしょう？
いったいどんな人たちと出会えるでしょう？

実感がわいてきて、ますますワクワクしてきました！

What will happen there?
Who I will meet there?
Now it starts to feel real and I’m getting even more excited！

暗くても雪でも マラソン！

今日もふわふわと舞うように雪が降っています。
外は、－３℃。

相方さん曰く、
「今日は、あったかいね」。

あったかいか・・・(*_*)

Today it’s still a light snowfall, with dancing snowflakes,
and it’s -3℃ outside.
My partner said
‟it’s very warm today.”
・・・warm・・・(*_*)

私がトロムソに着いた日は、－１℃.
私の住む津では氷点下なんてないですから、初体験です！
さらに、次の日は－３℃、
その次の日は－５℃と下がってきて、
ついに－１６．９℃！

ひぇー！！

It was -1℃ outside when I arrived in Tromso.
It’s almost never below 0℃ in Tsu where my house is.
So it’s my first experience!
And it was -３℃ next day,
and the next day -５℃
・・・and finally it became -16.9℃.

Wow~~~! Brrbrr~~~~!!!

その翌日は雪、私がここに来て初めて降る雪です。
この日私は平らなところで滑って転んでしまいました。
凍った雪道を歩くのには、かなり神経使うんですよ・・・(>_<)
そこで、やっと昨日ブーツを買いました。
まあ、これが全然滑らない!
お陰で、雪道を歩くのが急に楽になりました。
Next day it began snowing, for the first time after I arrived in Tromso.
I slipped on the snow and fell at a flat place on that day.
I’ｍ very nervous about walking on frozen roads.
So I bought new boots yesterday.
They don’t slip at all and made it so easy to walk on the snow road!

 

その帰り道のこと。
たくさんの人が走っているではないですか。
「ポーラーナイト　ハーフ　マラソン」で、約３５か国から約１２００人が参加しているそうです。

この真っ暗の中、雪道を走るんですよ。
すごいわー！
いい靴はけば、雪の中でも走れるんですねー！
On the way from there, I saw a lot of running people.
It’s Polar Night Half Marathon
and about 1200 people from about 35 countries are participating.
They are running in this darkness and the snow!
Great!
With good shoes, they can run even in snnow.

the volunteer marathon assistant said with an easy smile！

がんばれ、がんばれ、がんばれー！
ヘイヤア、ヘイヤア、ヘイヤアア！（Heia, heia, heia!）
go go go!

新しいブーツ買って、マラソン見せてもらって、元気が出てきました。
さあ、胸張って外を歩きましょ！
I got energy from getting new shoes and watching marathon.
I'll walk outside with more confidence.

1日の移ろいを感じながら

一日中太陽が出ないって？

真っ暗なの？

How is it that the sun isn’t above the horizon?

Is it completely dark?

 

ほんの少しですが、ご紹介します。

I will show you a bit.

 

実際には、燃えるように赤かったりするのですが…

移ろいゆく彩にうっとりします。

Although it is more red as if burning in fact…

I’m absorbed with watching that changing color.

 

時間の流れが速いんだか、遅いんだか・・？

Is time passing fast or slowly?

 

ただただ、これを見ておれることに感謝して。

I can keep just watching it with appreciation.

曇天と青空は、いつも一緒

明けまして、おめでとうございます。

実は、私ノルウェーのトロムソにおります。

 A Happy New year!

Actually I’m in Tromso in Norway now.

 

トロムソは極夜（白夜の反対）つまり、一日中太陽が地上より上に登らないのです。

太陽に励まされて、元気をもらって生きているような私にとって

これ、実は不安材料だったのです。

そこで、見納めだ！と出発直前に初日、氏神さんを拝ませてもらいました。

It’s in the polar night, that is we can’t see the sun over the horizon in this season in Tromso.

That made me anxious because I’m used to be encouraged by the sun every day.

 It’s the last sun I can watch for three weeks.

And therefore I went to the sea to see the rising sun on New Year’s day just before my departure.

 

でも、飛行機に乗って思い出しました.

地上ではどんな悪天候であっても、一度雲の上に出ると、いつもそこには青空があるのです。

今日は、雲の上に虹まで見えました！

But I remembered on the flight

that I always had been able to see blue sky over the cloud in any weather in flight.

I found the rainbow over the cloud today, too!

 私の体は、天候に何らかの影響は受けるでしょう。

曇天と青空はいつも一緒にある。

そう思ったら、私の心は天候だけにとらわれずにすみそうです。

天候に限らず、ね。

 My body will be affected at least a bit by the weather.

When I remember that the sky is always blue above the clouds,

my mind will not be affected by it.

I hope it is not only for the weather but also for other things.

 

トロムソに着く前に

少しずつ不安がなくなってきました。～(^_-)-☆

Before I arrived at Tromso,

my anxiousness disappeared bit by bit.

２０１６年、いい始まりに感謝です。
