正月に実家に里帰り The New Year’s holidays in my hometown

遅くなりましたが、新年明けましておめでとうございます。
このブログ、更新できる時しか更新できませんが（当たり前や）、今年もよろしくお願いします。
Happy New Year for everyone (it's a bit too late, though)
Maybe I don't write so often, but I'll do so as much as I can.



年末年始にかけて、京都のすみっこのへんにある実家に里帰りした時に撮った写真を載せます。
東京近郊から久しぶりに帰ってみると、その田舎っぷりが新鮮に感じられた・・・やっぱり田舎は落ち着くなあ。
During the new year's holidays I stayed in my parents' house in a countryside of Kyoto.
It's a very small town, very tranquil and peaceful.




八重葎しげれる実家の庭、ゆずの木が生えている。
Our garden is full of weeds. There is a citron tree. We use its fruits for adding flavor to food.



お節は生協で買ったやつ（たぶん）プラス、母が作った高野豆腐の煮物など。
お節って、エビがあると立派に見えるが、エビは剥くのが面倒なので私は食べない。（母が剥いてくれたら食べる・・・いい年して）
"Osechi"( the traditional Japanese New Year foods） They look gorgeous when you put kind of lobsters or big shrimps.
But peeling the shells of lobsters and shrimps seems too much work for me, so I usually avoid eating them.



お雑煮は関西風の白味噌に丸餅が入ったやつ。これは牡蠣やハマグリが入った海鮮バージョン。
"Ozouni"(it's also a traditional Japanese New Year food; a kind of soup containing rice cakes. There are various regional versions)

近所の神社。私は無神論者なので拝まないけど、お寺や神社、モスク、教会などにいると、気持ちが落ち着くから好き。

Even though I'm an atheist, I love visiting worship places like shrines, temples, mosques and churches. I feel peace of mind there.
