亡き友人の訃報を現役三羽烏以外の共通の友人にお知らせしていました。
東京都内、ただいま人気上昇中の常盤台在住で、東洋大学同期だけど3歳年上のYさん宅に電話しました。
娘さんが電話対応してくれたので、友人への伝言を伝え電話を切ってすぐ、今度は友人の娘さんから電話がありました。
用件は、「母が誰からの電話？と聞かれ、県さんと答えたら、私も喋りたいたいと申していますので、いま代わります」とのことでした。
友人の奥様には、たびたびディズニーランドの無料パスポートをいただいていました。
そういえば、2人の結婚式にもロタ島まで、僕は付いて行ったんだ。
というわけで、私はまだカラオケ途中なのに、友人の奥さんと10分ぐらいお喋りして、カラオケルームに戻ったと思ったら、今度は友人本人から電話がありました。
もう面倒になって、彼本人はもっと僕と話したかったらしいけど、3分ぐらいでケータイを切り、さっさとカラオケパーティーに戻りました。
よし、僕は今から眠るのだ！
I had to inform our mutual friends other than the three active members of our group about the passing of our late friend.
I called the home of Mr. Y, a resident of Tokiwadai, which is currently gaining popularity in Tokyo, and who was my classmate at Toyo University but three years older than me.
His daughter answered the phone, so I gave the message to my friend and hung up, and soon after, my friend's daughter called me again.
She asked, "Who is my mother calling from?" When I answered, she said she wanted to talk to me too, so I'll take over now.
My friend's wife had often given me a free passport to Disneyland.
Come to think of it, I even accompanied them to Rota for their wedding.
So I chatted with my friend's wife for about 10 minutes, even though I was still in the middle of karaoke, and when I returned to the karaoke room, my friend himself called me.
He wanted to talk to me more, but after about 3 minutes, he hung up his cell phone and quickly went back to the karaoke party.
Okay, I'm going to sleep now!
