CONVICTION OF THE HEART

本日は環境の日だそうです。

環境って言葉でパッと浮かぶのは、このブログでも何度かとりあげているケニー・ロギンスの『CONVICTION OF THE HEART』という楽曲です。

ケニーの曲では、あとは『ラスト・ユニコーン』もわたしにとっては「環境」ソングっぽく感じるのですが、
ラスト・ユニコーンはかなり泣けるので、ここでは勇気をもらえるテイストの曲調である「コンヴィクション・オブ・ハート」のほうを選びました。

歌の大きな意味は変わらないですが、主体がＹｏｕかＷｅで、ニュアンスも違ってきますね。
なんとなく、ケニーだとＹｏｕってのはしっくりきますね。
わたしにとって、ガイの声は、そこはかとない寂寞さ、ちみっと荒涼さが味わい深い、、そんな声なんですけども、彼のＷｅだとなんとなく内省的に感じます。

わたしはどっちのバージョンも大好きです。
それから曲としても大好きで、ピアノでときどき弾いています。
もちろんでたらめな耳コピなのので、ザ・テケトーなのですがね。
