About 20 years ago, I visited a hardware store in a market in Taipei.
The Japanese military left behind tanks, transport vehicles, weapons and other scrap iron, which were recycled and turned into kitchen knives by Taiwanese people.
My wife says it's hard to handle and doesn't use it at all, but it's so sharp that I'm going to keep using it as I have more cooking duty.
