たばこの気持ち

今（2021.12.18）、友人たちとZoomミーティングをしています。

ハイボールで、妻が用意してくれたおつまみを美味しく食べながら、山口重克先生を偲ぶ茂木信太郎さんのお話を視聴しています。

そこで、私がとても驚いたのは、Chromebookの素晴らしさです。

これまで、自宅のノートパソコンでZoomミーティングに入るのも、ホストとして迎い入れるのも、斯道から立ち上げまで時間がかかりました。

しかし、ChromebookだとURLをタップして、ほんの数秒とかからずに入室できました。

I'm having a Zoom meeting with some friends （2021.12.18）.

With highballs and delicious snacks prepared by my wife, we are watching a talk by Shintaro Mogi in memory of Dr. Shigekatsu Yamaguchi.

So what I was very surprised to see was how great the Chromebook was.

Until now, it has taken me a long time to get into a Zoom meeting on my laptop at home, and to get it up and running as a host.

But with the Chromebook, I tapped on the URL and was in the room in less than a few seconds.

昨日の私の1人ランチは、餅を焼き「あんこ」をつけて食べました。

For my lunch alone yesterday, I baked rice cakes and dipped them in "Anko" (sweet red bean paste).

先日、私は初めて仙台市営地下鉄に乗ってみました。

歩いても目的地に行けたのですが、まだ一度も乗っていなかったので興味がありました。

地下に向かうエスカレーターの眼前では、アニメのキャラクターの「青葉あさひ」が手を振っていました。

私は「あれ、これって横浜市営地下鉄のアニメキャラクター高島あずみとそっくりだなぁ」と思いました。

The other day I took the Sendai City Subway for the first time.

I could have walked to my destination, but I was curious because I hadn't ridden it once yet.

In front of the escalator leading to the underground, an anime character named "Aoba Asahi" was waving at me.

I thought to myself, "Hey, this looks just like Azumi Takashima, the Yokohama City Subway's anime character.

元町へ出かけたら、必ず立ち寄るのが「ウチキ」で、クリームパンは欠かせません。

それから、近所のスーパーで、調味料やら、野菜やら、しゃぶしゃぶ用のお肉など、8000円ほどの買い物をしました。

Whenever I go out to Motomachi, I always stop by Uchiki, and the cream buns are a must.

Then I went to a local supermarket and bought about 8,000 yen worth of seasonings, vegetables, and meat for shabu-shabu.

本日（2021.11.29）の私のミッションは、OB会の会報（新年号）カラー版8ページのうち、6ページ分を編集することでした。

そのあと、私が炊事当番だったので、きゅうりの浅漬け、鳥ロール

のネギの甘辛炒め、稲荷寿司用の油揚げを煮付けました。

そして、私はついに念願のChrombookを購入しました。どこまで使いこなせるのかは定かではないですが、私は新しい挑戦として決断しました。

Amazonのブラックフライデーの機会を活用し、割安で買えたと思います。今から自宅に届くのがとても楽しみです。

My mission today was to edit six pages of the eight-page color version of the alumni association's newsletter (New Year's issue).

After that, I was on cooking duty, so I pickled cucumbers, fried chicken rolls with sweet and spicy leeks, and boiled fried tofu for Inari Sushi.

Finally, I bought my dream Chrombook. I'm not sure how well I'll be able to use it, but I've decided to give it a new challenge.

I think I took advantage of Amazon's Black Friday and got it at a discounted price. I'm really looking forward to receiving it at home now.

私は、久しぶりに三井アウトレットパーク横浜ベイサイドへ行きました。

これまで、たばこを吸う場所がモール内外に喫煙所が設置されていました。

しかし、コロナ禍のためモール内の喫煙所は閉鎖され、代わりにヨットハーバー前の更地に、簡易の喫煙所が作られていました。

I went to Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside for the first time in a long time.

In the past, there were smoking areas inside and outside the mall.

However, due to the Corona disaster, the smoking area in the mall was closed and a simple smoking area was built on the vacant lot in front of the yacht harbor instead.

今夕、東洋大学校友会神奈川県支部のご近所の先輩3人と一緒に、真金町の街中華「龍華」さんで忘年会をしています。

お店に向かう途中、私は満開の梅の花を見ました。早いなぁ〜、でもきれいだなぁと感動しました。

This evening, I'm having a year-end party with three senior neighbors from the Kanagawa branch of the Toyo University Alumni Association at the street Chinese restaurant "Ryuka" in Maganacho.

On the way to the restaurant, I saw the plum blossoms in full bloom. I was impressed by how early they were, but how beautiful they were.

横浜伊勢佐木町は、やっぱりいいなぁ。

私が歩いてちょっと行けば、すぐに着いちゃう伊勢佐木町、その魅力にハマっています。

Yokohama Isezakicho is really nice.

I am addicted to the charm of Isezakicho, which is just a short walk away from me.

神奈川県近代文学館へ向かう途中、マスクをした猫の像がある大佛次郎記念館の前を通り過ぎました。

その洋館で、私は「パリ燃ゆ 名もなき者たちの声」という横断幕を目にしました。

2021年は、パリ市民による自治政権1871年の「パリ・コミューン」成立から150年にあたるそうです。

12月25日まで開催されているので、私はそれまでに大仏次郎著『パリ燃ゆ4』を読み終えて入館したいと思います。今からとても楽しみにしています。

On my way to the Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature, I passed by the Jiro Osaragi Memorial Museum with its statue of a cat wearing a mask.

In the Western-style building, I saw a banner that read, "Paris Burning: Voices of the Nameless.

The year 2021 is said to be the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Paris Commune in 1871, an autonomous government by the citizens of Paris.

The exhibition will be held until December 25, so I would like to finish reading "Paris Burning 4" by Jiro Osaragi before then to enter the museum. I'm really looking forward to it.

先週の今日、私は宮城県東松島市で義母の3回忌法要（命日は1月15日）に出席しました。

そんなとこともあり、明日、おでかけ用に日々使っていたコーチのリュックからTUMIのカバンに替えることにしました。

それは義母のために、私たち夫婦でプレゼントしたカバンでした。

Last week today, I attended my mother-in-law's third memorial service in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture (the anniversary of her death is on January 15).

Because of this, I decided to replace my Coach backpack with a TUMI bag for my outings tomorrow.

It was a bag that my mother-in-law and I gave to her as a gift.
