久しぶりに伊勢崎モールの「まめや」さんで、本日のブレンドコーヒーをいただきました。
It has been a while since I had a cup of today's blend coffee at Mameya in the Isesaki Mall.
店内禁煙ですが、たばこを吸いに外へ出ました。すると、スタッフ男子が店頭のベンチとコーヒー樽のテーブルに、コーヒー豆を焙煎したとき発生する不良品の入った灰皿を持ってきてくれました。
Smoking is not allowed in the store, but I went outside for a cigarette. Then a staff man brought me to a bench in the storefront and a coffee barrel table with an ashtray containing defective coffee beans from the roasting process.
私は、たばこを吸う前に灰皿から豆を数粒手にとっておき、店内に戻ってから豆を齧りながらコーヒーを飲みました。そんなことするのは誰もいないでしょうが、ここへ来たら、私にとって欠かせないことになりました。
I would grab a few beans from the ashtray before I smoked my cigarette, and then go back inside to chomp on them and drink my coffee. No one would ever do that, but it became an essential part of my visit here.
