たばこの気持ち

たばこは半年以上吸っていませんが、これまでの習慣で2つの八景島南公園休憩所の喫煙所を撮ってきました。

コロナ禍の中で、夏休み期間中にも関わらず、閑散としていました。

In the corona misfortune, it was quiet despite the summer vacation period.

そのほか画像はございませんが、私の脳裏に残っているのは、休憩所入口にある水道で、海から上がった2人の水着を身につけた若い娘らが、水道のホースで体をくねらせながら、窮屈そうに前、後ろ、脇、腿を流しているシーンでした。

I don't have any other images, but what remains in my mind is the tap at the entrance of the rest area. It was a scene where the front, back, sides, and thighs seemed to be cramped.

8月10日は「新鮮な野菜は美味しい」こんな当たり前のことを実感した1日でした。

茨城県在住の友人女子（福島県東白川郡塙町の同級生）から届いた野菜です。ゴーヤはカミさんが「ゴーヤチャンプル」にして、苦味を楽しみました。

These are vegetables that I received from a female friend of mine who lives in Ibaraki Prefecture. 

My wife made bitter gourd into "bitter gourd champuru" and enjoyed the bitter taste.

ナスは素揚げし、お酢と出汁醤油に浸しておき、翌朝美味しくいただきました。

The eggplants were fried, soaked in vinegar and soy sauce, and served delicious the next morning.

キュウリをふたつに割ると、柔らかくて細かなタネ、これはうまいやつです。

When I split a cucumber in two, the soft, fine seeds turned out to be delicious.

シソの葉、ミョウガと浅漬けにしました。

I pickled it with shiso leaves and ginger.

友人女子が育てたミョウガ（左）と、スーパーでかっておいたミョウガ（右）の大きさを比べてみました。こんなに丸々と、みずみずしいミョウガは久しぶりで、なんと贅沢なのだろうと感激しました。
