先月末、OB会のお手伝いで上京し、帰路、若き美空ひばりさんの像をスマホで撮り、とうもろこしを5本買いました
At the end of last month, I went to Tokyo to help with the alumni association, and on the way back, I took a picture of young Hibari Misora with my smartphone and bought five corn.
家に帰ると、福島県東白川郡塙町在住の従姉妹宅から、硬い桃が届きました
When I got home, a hard peach arrived from my cousin's house who lives in Hanawa-machi, Higashishirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.
いっぱいの感謝の気持ちを込めてありがとう。（オリンピックでも、福島県の桃はうまいと外国選手に大好評でしたね）
Thank you for all your gratitude. (Even at the Olympics, the peaches from Fukushima Prefecture were very popular with foreign athletes.)
普通、食べごろの柔らかくなるまで待つわけですが、私が硬い桃が好きだと知っている従姉妹は、毎年、硬いうちに届くようにしてくれます
夕べは3個、そして今朝も1個食べました。小さな包丁で皮を剥き、左手に桃を持ち包丁でカットしながら、大好物を味わいました
Usually I wait until they are soft enough to eat, but my cousin, who knows that I like firm peaches, makes sure they arrive firm every year.
I ate 3 last night and 1 this morning. Peel off the skin with a small knife, hold the peach in your left hand, cut it with the knife, and taste your favorite food.
