私は9年前で、東北新幹線で24年間ほど通勤していました。
車内の席でたばこが吸えた時代から、車内禁煙で喫煙所が設置されていた頃、そして全車禁煙までの推移を思い出しました。
現在、東京駅ではホーム上の先端と後方に１か所ずつ喫煙所が設置されています。
先日、久しぶりにホーム上の喫煙所を利用させていただきました。
This was nine years ago, and I had been commuting on the Tohoku Shinkansen for about 24 years.
I remembered the transition from the days when you could smoke in your seat in the car, to the days when smoking was prohibited in cars and designated smoking areas, to the time when smoking was prohibited in all cars.
Currently, there are smoking areas at Tokyo Station, one at the top of the platform and one at the rear.
The other day, I used the smoking area on the platform for the first time in a while.
