金沢春友さんが福島県東白川郡塙町の町長時代に、水戸出身で郷土史も研究していた山川菊栄さんは、資料提供のお礼に塙町役場を訪れていました。
When Harutomo Kanazawa was the mayor of Hanawa-machi, Higashishirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, Kikuei Yamakawa, who was originally from Mito and also studied local history, visited the Hanawa-machi office to thank him for providing the materials.

山川菊栄さんは、今の津田塾大学で学び、大正5年に当代の社会主義者であった山川均さんと結婚しました。戦後の1947年（昭和22年） 日本社会党に入党し、その年の9月1日、片山内閣のもとで労働省（新設直後）の初代婦人少年局長に就任されました。
Kikuei Yamakawa studied at what is now Tsuda College and married Hitoshi Yamakawa, a socialist of the time, in 1916.
In 1947, after the war, she joined the Japan Socialist Party, and on September 1 of that year, under the Katayama Cabinet, she was appointed the first director of the Women's and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Labor (immediately after its establishment).
金沢春友さんのネットワークには、つくづく驚かされますし、私の住んでる横浜の港の見える丘公園内に建つ「大仏次郎記念館」には、金沢春友さんの著作が飾ってありました（館内のレイアウト変更により、現在は掲示されていませんでした）。つくづく偉大な在野の郷土史家であったんだ、と再認識した次第です。

The works of Harutomo Kanazawa were displayed in the Osaragi Jiro Memorial Hall, which is located in Minato-no-Mieruoka Park in Yokohama, where I live.
