群馬県出身、地元開催の大会で勝ったから嬉しさは格別でしょう。
佐野日大高校ゴルフ部から東北福祉大学に進み、アマチュアの大会で大活躍しました。
プロ入りしてから、シード権を取ったり取らなかったり、優勝争いにも絡んだこともありました。
しかし、あと一歩でした。私は、彼をずっと応援していたので、今日の初優勝に心から拍手を贈りたいです。
Professional golfer Shintaro Kobayashi won his long-awaited first victory at the men's professional golf tournament.
Originally from Gunma Prefecture, it must have been an exceptional joy to win a tournament held locally.
From the Sano Nihon University High School golf club, he went on to Tohoku Fukushi University and was very active in amateur tournaments.
After he became a pro, he sometimes got seeded, sometimes he didn't, and sometimes he got involved in championship fights.
But there was one more step. I've been rooting for him for a long time, so I want to give him a round of applause for his first win today.
