私もそうでした

海から横浜港の見える丘公園に上がり、フランス公使館跡を過ぎた広場に母子像があり、いつ行ってもお花が供えられています

今回、母子像の前に立ち止まり、その意味を初めて知りました

横浜市の荏田地区に、在日駐留米軍の飛行機が墜落し、犠牲となった母子だったのです

そうなのです。我が国には沖縄県を筆頭に、たくさんの米軍基地が存在し、母子像のような危険は日常的に存在しているのです
