映画「Angst」（邦題「アングスト／不安」）

　映画「Angst」（邦題「アングスト／不安」）を観た。

　殺人鬼のモノローグで全体を纏めるという前代未聞の作品だ。カメラワークにはのっけから驚かされた。中盤ではドローンを使ったのかと思わせる俯瞰が登場する。とても37年も前の映画とは思えない。誰かがスマートフォンを取り出すシーンを入れれば即座に最近の映画として通用するだろう。

　やみつきという言葉がある。病みつきとも書くのである種の精神の異常なのかもしれない。食品などの好みによく使われる言葉で、例えばパクチー（香菜）などの特別な匂いのする野菜は、嫌う人も多いが、最初は嫌いだったが食べているうちに好きになって、今ではやみつきになったということもある。当方もその一人だ。

　本作品の主人公にはまったく感情移入できないが、もしかしたらパクチーと同じように、人を傷つけたり殺したりする行為は慣れていくうちに快感になるのかもしれないとは思う。頻繁に人を殴る人間を知っているが、とても嬉しそうに殴っている。殴ることに慣れると殴らないではいられなくなるのだろう。

　日中戦争では関東軍の将校が百人斬りを争ったという話がある。当時の東京日日新聞に105人対106人などと書かれていて、さも快挙であるかのように喧伝されている。当時の日本が国全体で本作品の主人公と同じ精神性であったのだとすれば空恐ろしい。普通の平凡な人間でも、ある日突然シリアルキラーにならないとは限らない。それが国家単位で行なわれれば即ち戦争である。

　描写はリアルである。主人公は至って普通の腕力の持ち主であり、それが人を殺せるのはひとえに精神の力である。殺せる人と殺せない人の間には深い溝があると思っていたが、慣れれば意外にすんなり飛び越せる溝なのだろう。誰もが主人公のようになる可能性があるのだ。とても怖くて不気味な作品であった。
