番外編542. 田舎の屋台(Country stalls)

 

　NIKKAがネグロス島へ出かけたのは4月始めの酷暑の頃だ。

　フィリピンは、年間最高気温が30°代、最低気温が20°代。季節別にみれば4月は酷暑の始まり、そして5月は酷暑のピーク、6月もまだ暑い。そして7月は雨期の始まり、8月は本格的な雨期であり、10月まで続く。11月は雨期から乾季への移行期、12月は乾季の始まりで3月まで続く。

　概ね4月〜6月が酷暑。そして太陽が北上してくると日本が7月〜9月の酷暑に該当する。そして7月〜11月まで雨期であり台風もやってくる。12月〜3月が乾季となる。

　だからフィリピンで一番良い季節は、12月〜3月の乾季である。日本の寒い冬をやり過ごすときに、フィリピンへ逃避するのがよい。

　NIKKAに市場の画像を撮影してこい!、と私は命じた。田舎では、この屋台が市場だ。回りは農家ばかりだから、これで十分なのだろう。
