唐三彩

７月１８日（木）


梅雨の合間、勤め人時代の仲間ＴＤさんと毎年恒例になっている
虎の門の「砂場」へ。
ＮＹでは同じマンションに住んでいたこともあり帰国後も家族付き合いは
続いていたがＴＤ夫人は亡くなり寂しくなった。
奥様の仏前にと花束を持って「砂場」に集まり蕎麦を堪能というより
銘酒「十四代」をいつになく飲んだ。


虎の門からタクシーで出光美術館へ向かった。
我家にも中国の友だちから土産用の「唐三彩の彫像の馬」があるが
本物の出土品の唐三彩には興味があった。






唐の時代、日本では奈良時代、１３００年の昔，唐の名もなき陶工が
施釉していたものがいま現代人に鑑賞されている、何か壮大なロマンを感じる。
本日の散歩、１１０００歩

It was an interval of the rainy season.
We had a lunch at SUNABA with TD-san who had lived in NY same
period we lived.
We had lived in the same apartment in NY, and TD and his family
acquaintance continued after return home,
but the TD wife died and became lonely.
We gathered in SUNABA with a bouquet for his wife and unusually
drank famous sake [14DAI} than soba a lot.
After lunch we went to the Idemitsu art museum by taxi .
There was "the horse of the statue of the Tang tricolored "
for souvenirs in my home from a Chinese friend.
But I was interested in the Tang tricolored earthenware of
a genuine excavated article.

睡蓮

７月１７日（水）

待ちに待った睡蓮がようやく咲いた。
午後には萎んでしまう。
また明日朝には咲くらしい。
数日は楽しませてくれそうだ。
A long-awaited water lily finally bloomed.
The flower withers away in the afternoon.
On the tomorrow morning, a flower will bloom again.
The flower which bloomed seems to please us for a few days.

蛍は舞っているのだろうか？　まだ何処かで舞っているのだろうか？
月初め、芝「「とうふ屋　うかい」でアンドレ夫妻と食事をした折、
そこでアンドレがミセスマスダにと求めてくれた。
洋風の御干菓子？　　　　パッケージが美しい。
The Japanese sweet which Andre bought for Mrs. Masuda in a Japanese restaurant.
The container that a firefly was designed is splendid.

バースデイケーキ

７月１４日（日）

センス溢れるバースデイカード
午後次男のＪＹ家族が来宅。
ミスターマスダのリクエストでショートケーキのお土産を所望したが
ミセスマスダにとバースデイケーキを持って来てくれた。
早速ローソクに火をつけバースディのティパーティとなった。
The JY family of the second son visited our home in the afternoon.
The shortcake was desired at a request of Mr. Masuda, but they brought birthday-cake for Mrs. Masuda.
I sat fire to a candle at once and its became tea-party of the Birthday.

夜は近くの中華料理屋。孫のＴＹ君も参加、楽しいディナーであった。
帰途花屋でスイレンをゲット。もう蕾が付いている。何色の花か楽しみだ。

この間長男のＳＴ君の招待でメモリアブルな「辻留」のバースディ・ディナー
を楽しんだがパリ出張から帰国した長男ＳＴ君がラジュレのマカロンと
クッキーを持ってお祝いに来てくれた。

懐石料理・辻留

７月１２日（金）


今日はミセスマスダの誕生日。長男のＳＴ君の招待で赤坂の「辻留」。
ミスターマスダが長年一度は訪ねてみたいと思っていた老舗の料亭。
入口の「辻留」の揮毫は魯山人。
「辻留」の篆刻も魯山人。





左のひざ掛けの手ぬぐいのデザインも魯山人。箸袋も魯山人の筆。

我々の部屋の装飾。
味覚、五味を書いた御軸は熊谷守一の書。
能「小鍛治」之図。
福田平八郎の日本画、本物らしい。

食事が始まったが食卓の塗りの御盆の水の流れのデザインが素晴らしい。


保津川の小ぶりのアユの塩焼きは美味であった。
日本酒を頂いたが酒は相当弱くなった。
京都の料亭らしく「ほうじ茶」で始まり
最後は「御抹茶」懐石料理を堪能した。
行きも帰りも電車で席を譲ってもらった。相当年寄りに見えるらしい。
Today is a birthday of Mrs. Masuda.
By an invitation of ST of the eldest son,we went
to "Tsuji -dome" of Akasaka.
The well-established restaurant which Mr. Masuda wanted
to visit once for many years.
The calligraphy of "Tsuji-dome" of the entrance was
written by Rosanjin.


毎年誕生日に合わせて何か記念になる物を買うのが習わしだが今年は器一対。
山口真人作「御深井四方鉢」
帰途近所の花屋で「ほおづき一枝」と花鉢の幾つかを買った。
長雨のせいか鉢物の植物が幾つも傷んでしまった。

ミスターマスダは水遣りの責任者。花屋の青年が
水のやり過ぎについて色々教えてくれた。


It is a custom every year to buy the thing in commemoration
for the birthday.
A container pair for this year.

I bought some of flower bowls at the flower shop
of the way home neighborhood.
Some plants in my garden have gone bad probably
because of the long term rain.

Mr. Masuda is a person in charge of the water feeding for the garden.
The young man of the flower shop tell me about overdoing
of the water in various ways.

梅雨寒の三ッ池公園

７月１１日（木）

いつも散歩はしているが久し振りに三ッ池公園に足を向けてみた。
梅雨寒で人出は少なかったが色々な花が楚々と咲いていて
散歩を楽しませてくれた。
ユリ・木槿・紫陽花までは知っていたが雑草も綺麗に花をつけていた。。






I strolled at Mitsuike Park in slightly cold temperature in the rainy season.
There were few people who took a walk.
A lily or a hydrangea bloomed.
The flower of the grass which the name did not know bloomed.

とうふ屋 うかい

７月３日（水）


最近は毎年のようにオーストラリアから
友人のアンドレ・ナッシュ御夫妻がやって来る。
５０年ほど前からの知り合いで我々がシドニー在住の時代にアンドレには
子供たちのベービーシッターをお願いした事もある。

出迎えに行ったホテルでプレゼントの交換。
今年はご主人のミスターナッシュに日本語での彼の名刺を作ってプレゼント。
彼は競馬馬専門の獣医。北海道・千歳での仕事におおいに役立つであろう。さてランチはご夫妻と我々夫婦と息子たち。


今年は外人さんに日本のムードを味わってもらうべく
東京タワーの下・芝の「とうふ屋　うかい」。



ゲストは大いに「うかい」がお気に召してようで楽しい午後のひと時を
過ごすことが出来た。
息子達も幼少の頃からの知人なので、
話は尽きる事なく二時間余あっという間に過ぎてしまった。








食事の後は銀座「和光」での買い物のお手伝いをして別れた。
ちょっと辛いな・・。
二人は北海道で仕事を済ませ、続いてイギリスとフランスでも仕事。
全てをすませた後はヴァケイション。
ロシアへ。
モスクワからサンクトペテルブルグまではリヴァークルーズの由
楽しいだろうなあ。

Andre Nash of our friend came over almost every year from Australia.

We have asked Andre for babysitter of our children in the acquaintances
for approximately 50 years in the times resident in Sydney.

We had exchanged the present in the hotel
where we went to for a meeting.

One of our presents was Mr. Nash's business card in Japanese
which we prepared at Tokyo in advance.

He is a veterinarian that he makes a specialty of a racehorse.

The business card will help his work in Hokkaido, Chitose very much.

ショートケーキ

７月１日（月）

７月１日、今日からは夏。
ここ数日不順な天候ではあるが兎も角、今日からは本当の夏。

浜木綿が咲いた。

宗旦槿が咲いた。


咲いている花を愛でながらショートケーキを頂いた。
モスクワで買った木製の器とコーヒー茶碗も
久し振りに卓に上った。蛇足ながら今年も我家の朝顔は出遅れている。

It is July from today. A climax of the rainy season.
Crinum and hollyhock of the garden are in full blossom.
I ate shortcake while looking at flowers.
