夕顔

１０月４日（火）

漸く夕顔が咲いた。それもたった一つ。

この夏の猛暑や雨は鉢植えの夕顔には厳しかったようで育ち具合は最悪だった。九月に入って少しずつ伸びて、伸びて、今夕花開いた。

十二、三程の蕾が見られるので、これから暫くは十月の夕顔が楽しめそうで嬉しい。

A Bottle gourd(Yuugao) finally bloomed.　It was only one, too.
The intense heat and the rain of this summer seemed to be severe to a potted Bottle gourd.

The breeding condition was the worst.
As  approximately 12 buds are seen, we are able to enjoy a lot of Bottle gourd for a while from now on.　we are very glad.

VENCHI

９月２６日（月）

ちょっと遅れたけれど「敬老の日」の訪問か、二人の息子が揃ってやって来た。何を話したのか、取り留めもない歓談の時間は四時間余り。我々にとって一番幸せな時である。

イタリアのチョコレートの名店「VENCHI」の土産も嬉しい。様々な種類のチョコレーは綺麗にラッピングされて百個、二百個位入っている。円いBOXも上々。

Though it was late a little, two sons came over all together for  "Day of Respect for the Aged People" .
Time for infinite pleasant chat was the happiest for us.
The souvenir of well-known store "VENCHI" of the Italian chocolate is nice, too.

Various types of chocolate was wrapped in the round box.

It was excellent.

白い彼岸花

９月１９日（月）

初めて白い彼岸花を見たのは鎌倉・円覚寺だった。我家にも欲しいなと思っていたら

ミセスマスダの短歌のお仲間が球根を下さった。

以来、二十余年、この季節には我家の庭に彩りを添えてくれる。

バカラ社の花器「ディーバ」に入れ、ダイニングテｰﾌﾞルに飾り愛でている。

At Kamakura, Enkaku-ji Temple, we looked at the white cluster amaryllis(Shiro-Higanbana) for the first time.
The friend of the poem ( tanka) of Mrs. Masuda gave us a bulb of them.
Thereafter, fort twenty years, the white cluster amaryllis bloomed  a beautiful flower in our garden in this season. Mrs. Masuda arranged it in vase "diva" of Baccarat and displayed it to the dining table.

ピカソの陶芸

９月１５日（木）

本当に久し振りの外出は青山のヨックモック美術館のピカソ陶芸展だ。

若き日に、南仏ヴァロリスにピカソの陶芸窯を訪ねたことがある。そのことを思い出しながらピカソの陶芸を堪能した。早目の夕食はピアノ演奏付きのステーキ。青山だもの・・・

Going out after long time was " Picasso ceramic art exhibition" of the Yoku Moku Museum at Aoyama.
On our young day, we had visited the ceramic art kiln of Picasso at Vallauris in southern France.
I thoroughly enjoyed ceramic art of Picasso while remembering it. 

The early dinner was a steak with a piano performance. As Aoyama, it was natural.

名残りの朝顔

９月８日（木）

八月の終り頃から庭の朝顔が毎日、毎日、八ツ、九つ、十と沢山の花を見せる。

「名残りの朝顔」とでも言うのであろう・・・

インドデイゴに絡んで此のひと夏咲き続けた青い朝顔が面白いので写真に収めた。

It is interesting that a morning glory gets twisted up to an outdoor lamp and a plant.

The morning glory at our garden bloomed a lot of flower since the end of August.

It is coming to an end of the season for the morning glory.
We can say " A vanishing morning glory".

チーズ

９月５日（月）

次男が酒の肴の土産を持ってぶらりとやって来た。

土産の中に孫からのチーズが含まれていた。チーズはグラダ・パダーノでイタリアのパルミジャーノのようなものである。今春孫が就職した乳製品商社の輸入したチーズである。

早速チーズ下しでミネストローネに振り掛けたら大変な美味であった。

なおこのチーズ下しはニューヨークに住んでいた頃、４０年前にソホーのデルーカで３ドルで購入したものだ。  ディーン・アンド・デルーカが日本に進出するふた昔もみ昔も前の事だ。
