ムール貝

７月１日（金）

昔、ブリュッセルでバケツいっぱいのこの料理を食べて以来三十年我家の定番料理

「ムール貝の白ワイン蒸し」。

ニンニク・玉葱・セロリを効かせて。今日のムール貝は大きくて格別の味だった。

We ate "the steamed mussels in the buckets" at the old days in Brussels.
Thereafter "the steamed Mussels with the white wine, garlic, onion and celery" became 

our special dish for last 30 years.
Today's mussels were big size and were particular taste.

スニーカー

６月２３日（木）

カラフルなスニーカーである。

筋違いではあるがミセスマスダがミスターマスダへのファーザーズデーのプレゼント。

There is a colorful sneaker.
A little bit unreasonable, but it was presented to Mr. Masuda as a gift of the father's day 

by Mrs. Masuda.

梅の実

６月２１日（火）

ほんのり色付いた梅の実が毎日十個、十五個と落ちる。

落ちた梅を集めてみているだけでも倖せな気分になるが

ミセスマスダは梅ジュースや梅ジャムにすると言って連日奮闘している。

10~15 of the fruit of the plum fell  down to our  grand from  the branch of the plum every day.
Mrs.Masuda felt happy just to collect the fallen plums.

But she try to make plum juice and plum jam with the fruits and struggles day after day.

南天の花

６月１８日（土）

南天の花が満開である。力があってとても美しい。

朱く色付く頃が今から待たれる。

The flowers of the nandin (Nanten) are in full bloom.
They are powerful and very beautiful.
We are waiting for the time  when the fruit Nandin become red.

御茶の時間

６月１５日（水）  

今日の御茶の時間は柔らかに降る雨を眺めながら、花菖蒲の主菓子をお供に愉しんでいる。

Today, I enjoyed a  Matcha with the Japanese sweets which modelled a Japanese iris 

while looking at the rain.

本むら庵

６月１２日（日）

シドニー在住時代からの五十年に亘るお付合いをしている友人夫婦と久し振りにお会いした。

コロナ禍で会う事が儘ならない日々を一挙に取り戻すかのよう

御蕎麦屋さんで３時間その後コーヒーで２時間、話は尽きる事なく愉快な

一日であった。本むら庵は蕎麦・蕎麦掻は言うまでもないが京懐石を

思わせる数々のお供も絶品。庭の菖蒲も見事。

We went for lunch with our close friends at the noodle shop "Honmura-an" of Ogikubo after  interval of six months due to a corona evil.
Soba, Sobagaki was delicious, but the many plates such as the Kyoto Kaiseki were good, too.
The iris of the garden was wonderful, also.

紫陽花

 ６月１０日（金）

紫陽花の季を向えてあちらこちらその美しさが溢れている。

手元にある紫陽花模様の器に、裏庭からの紫陽花をあしらって食事を楽しんでいる。

It is the season of  a Hydrangea.　　The beauty of the flower overflows here an there.

I displayed the hydrangea from our backyard together with the plates of the hydrangea 

designed.       We can enjoy a meal with the plates.

和光「銀座クッキー」

６月７日（火）

銀座・和光が時計台竣工９０年、和光設立７５年を祝ってデザインした

クッキー缶。。和光大ファン歴七十年になる方が贈って下さった。
あの「和光の時計」・・・・
沁み沁みお茶の時間を愉しんでいる。

This  is" the Ginza cookie can" which is designed the clock tower of Wako building.
It is sold in commemoration of a clock tower of Wako being built since 90 years.
We can enjoy tea time with the cookie.

皐月

６月６日 （日） 

皐月は７，８株あるがここ数年咲いた事がない。植木屋さんは日当たりが悪いからでは

ないかと言っているが、どういうわけか、今年はすべての株に花が見られる。

母が丹精していた花なので、これで一安心。

There were seven or eight stocks of Azaleas in our garden, but had not bloomed  for these past several years.
Our gardener said that this might be not enough sunshine, but a flower was seen in all stocks this year somehow.
As it was the flower which our mother took a great care of, we were very satisfied for that.

蕺草（ドクダミ）

６月３日（金）

暫く行っていないので草採りをしなければと裏庭に行ってみると、そこは

蕺の花に埋め尽くされていて白い海のよう・・・

一つ一つの花の可憐さに、今，引いてしまう事は出来なく暫くは

この美しさを愉しもうと其の儘にしておいた。

When I went to our backyard for mowing, there were a flower field  of the Houttuynia  (Dokudami) ... which was like the white sea.
The flower was so cute. I could not cut them at that time. 

I am going to enjoy this beauty for a while.

インドデイゴ

５月３１日（火）

インドデイゴが咲き始めた。これも我家の庭に来てから３０年近く経つ。

梅雨時には必ず咲くのだが何故か昨年は花を見せなかった。

それだけに、今年の花はとても嬉しい。

A Coral tree (Indo-deigo)  has begun to bloom.
Nearly 30 years pass after planting it in our garden.
It did not bloom last year for some reason.
We are glad that it blooms this year.

赤い花

５月２８日（土）

庭のあちらこちら雑草に混じって赤い花が咲いている。

何時だったか上高地へ行った時、梓川の川縁に昔ながらの萬屋（よろずや）があって、

その店先で九十歳くらいのお婆さんがこの赤い花を売っていた。

そのお婆さんも名前は知らなかったが、あまりにも愛らしいので一鉢求めた。

その後は毎年、初夏を彩ってくれる。花は「姫檜扇」という。

A Red flower blooms among many  weeds of our garden.

When we visited to Kamikochi long time ago, there was traditional Yorozuya (General store) in the riverside of the Azusa River.

At the store, a very old woman sold this red flower at the storefront.
We bought the red flower as it was so lovely.　It grows at our garden every year.

The name of the red flower is HIME-HIOUGI.

オープンサンド

５月２６日（木）

先日久し振りに青山まで出掛けたミセスマスダ、Nicolai Bergmannで頂いたスモークド

・サーモンのオープンサンドが美味しかったからとそれを今日の昼食に用意してくれた。

ホールウイートのパンにサーモン・卵サラダ・フェンネルなどを載せて。

卵サラダもいいけれど、ケイパーやオニオンスライス・フェンネルなど

クラッシックなスタイルで食べるも良いかなあと言っている。

Mrs. Masuda went for a lunch of the very delicious ” open sandwich” with her friend  

at Nicolai Bergmann of Aoyama .
The today's lunch of our home was the open sandwich of the smoked salmon which was inspired to the open sandwich the other day.
