南天の葉

１月３１日（日）

南天の紅葉した葉が美しい。

白壁に写るシルエットも中々のもの。

家に南天は裏庭の大きな樹の他、あちらこちらに６、７本あるが

全て実生である。

これは玄関前の小さな物。

The leaf which turned red of the Heavenly bamboo  (Nanten) is beautiful.
The silhouette appearing on the white wall is impressive.
There are ６~７Heavenly bamboos in my garden.
This is a small one in front of the entrance. 

All Heavenly bamboos  are plants raised from a seed.

檀の朱実

１月２７日（水）

昨年末からお正月にかけて檀（マユミ）の実が色づいて大層美しかった。

残り少なくなってしまったが白壁に写る影も良いのでＵＰしてみた。

The red fruit of the ”Mayumi” changed color in this winter and was very beautiful.
The number of fruit decreased but the shadow reflected in the white wall was splendid.

オランジェット

１月２４日（日）

ミスター・ミセスマスダ、二人とも晩白柚が大好きだ。

今年は頂いた後の皮を砂糖漬にし、更にラム酒を効かせたブラックチョコレートで

コーティング、”オランジェット”　にしティータイムを楽しんでいる。

Mr. & Mrs. Masuda, two like Banpeiyu-orange.
She preserved a peel of Banpeiyu in sugar.  Then she coated the black chocolate 

with rum on the peel and made Orangette.   We enjoyed them on teatime today.

オイスター・キルパトリック

１月１５日（金）

大きめの牡蠣が手に入ったので、オーストラリア名物のオイスターキルパトリックに。

ミスターマスダの大好物で、シドニー在住時代を思い出す。

この様な牡蠣が手に入るならば、オイスターモルネイもオイスターロックフェラーも

夢ではない。楽しみだ。

A large oyster was available. We cooked the Australian popular dish of the Oyster Kilpatrick.
It was a favorite dish of Mr. Masuda when he lived in Sydney.  If such an oyster is available, 

we want to cook  the Oyster Mornay or the Oyster Rockefeller on the next time. 

We are very much looking forward to the next oyster dishes.

蝋梅

１月９日（土）

蝋梅が咲き始めた。

寒中の陽だまり,美しい香りを求めて、四十雀や目白がつがいでやって来る。

"Japanese allspice plum " has begun to bloom at our garden.
"Japanese great tit sparrow" and" Mejiro" come over with pair 

for the fragrance of the plum in warm winter air.

バースデイ・カード

１月４日（月）

誕生日,ジャスト・イン・タイムで息子家族からの

バースデイカードが届いた。

カードを広げると音楽と共にカラフルな花火が点滅する。

パリ行きを熱望しているミスターマスダへのカードはセンスが溢れている。

親しくしている陶芸教室のオーナーからもプレゼントが届いた。

又色々届いたラインやEメールのお祝いも嬉しいものだった。

The colorful  fireworks at Paris flashed on and off with music when I opened 

the card from my son.     Paris is the town where I wants to visit once again.
A present arrived from the owner of the ceramic art classroom.    In addition, 

the celebration of the Line and the E-mail which arrived in various ways were nice.

初詣

１月４日（月）

今日はミスターマスダの誕生日。８６歳に成りました。

近くの鎮守様に初詣。

おみくじも大吉。

It is a birthday of Mr. Masuda today.　I became 86 years young.
I visited the Shinto shrine in the neighborhood for the first prayer of this year.
The paper fortune was great good luck, too. .

新年の出窯

１月３日（日）

今年の最初の出窯である。

辰砂の抹茶茶碗である。

There are the first appearance from pottery kiln of this year.
There are the Matcha bowl of the cinnabar.

初日の出

元旦

テレビでの初日の出を楽しんだ。

竜神池のダブルダイヤモンド富士。これは美しい。

令和三年初春は京都・祇園の「お節料理」で祝う。

五年振り位で取寄せたが、とても豪勢。

We enjoyed the first sunrise of a new year on TV.  "Double diamond Fuji" of 

Ryujin  Pond.  That was beautiful.
We celebrated the new year's brunch with "the lunch box which was prepared for 

New Year holidays" from Kyoto, Gion. It was gorgeousness. We were very satisfied it.
