チーズフォンデュ

今日は前菜に久し振りのチーズフォンデュ。中々の美味。

老夫婦だけで食べるのは勿体ない。

紅白梅も咲きそろっているので友人夫婦を招いて賑やかにやりたいもの。

Today's hors d'oeuvres are cheese fondue.
Quite good flavor.
It is a shame that we old couple eats only.
As the red-and-white plums are in full bloom, we like to invite our friend.

紅梅

 ２月２２日

三十年前長子が結納を交わした二月、記念に植えた紅梅が美しい。 

一枝、二枝、KOSTA  BODAの花器に入れてみた。

Japanese plum with red blossoms (Koubai ) which we planted 30 years ago in commemoration of the engagement of the eldest son are at their best.
I put the several branches of the Japanese plum in a vase of KOSTA BODA.

早春の兆し

２月１９日

[光の春」という美しい言葉があるが、将にその通り美しい春の光に

我家の庭の白梅や福寿草が輝いている。

紅梅の蕾も膨らみ始めて、”春”　到来。

White plum blossoms and the pheasant's-eye at our garden was bloomed.
The bud of the Japanese plum with red blossoms has begun to swell out, too.
"Spring has come".

バレンタインデー

２月１４日

今年も多くの女性からバレンタインチョコを頂いた。

八十八歳米寿を超えても女性からのプレゼントは嬉しい。

Many women gave Valentine chocolate to me this year.

I am glad of the present from the woman, even I am 88 years old.

ティカップ・スージー・クーパー

２月５日

１９７０年シドニーでの生活が始まって間もなく求めたスージー・クーパーのこのティセットには思い出がいっぱい詰まっている。それから５２年余、

此の度、三人の孫娘に「グランマの思い出」にと、お揃いで二客ずつ、ずっと持っていてねと渡す事にした。

それで、今日は最後、息子の御土産のラデュレのマカロンでパチリ。

The tea sets of Susie Cooper which I bought at Sydney in old day of 1970 had a lot of my memories.
Then more than 52 years later, it is decided that I give two cups each to my three granddaughters with my word of  "a memory of the Granma".  

 It was a last chance to use the tea sets at my home, so that I had afternoon tea using the tea sets with  a macaroon of LADUREE of the souvenir from  the son.
