イカ墨のパスタ

７月３０日（木）

活きの良い烏賊が手に入ったので、今日のランチは「イカ墨のパスタ」。

パスタ料理はミスターマスダのテリトリー。気分よく腕を振るう。

パスタはフェトチーネ、仕上げのオリーブオイルも香り

上等の出来上がり。ミセスは思うように外出が出来ない今、

樹木の緑あふれる拙宅のダイニングルームでのパスタは

青山辺りのお洒落な店での気分と変わらないと大喜び。

As we got a fresh cuttlefish, today's lunch was "pasta with cuttlefish sumi".
Mr. Masuda is good at pasta cooking . The pasta was fettuccine.
It was the good completion.
Mrs Masuda was delight for the pasta at our dining room of the tree filled with greenery.

チャイブ

７月２６日（日）

七月に入ってからは雨続き、そんな気候にヒョロリと伸びたチャイブ、

三つ、四つ、花を付けた。

ジャガイモの冷たいスープ、ヴィシソワーズの薬味には欠かせない。

ただ、それだけの為に、育てている。

長い間、勝手口のテラスのハーブの仲間の一員である。

A rainy day  continues in a wet season.
The stem of chives lengthened, and 3~4 flower bloomed.

It is absolutely necessary for a spice for the chilled potato soup　”Vichyssoise".
We cultivate it with other herb on our kitchen terrace for a long time.

百日紅

７月２０日（月）

ご近所のお宅、紅色の百日紅が美しい。将に、夏の花！

家にも白の百日紅があったんだがなあ、いつの間にか枯れてしまった。

The crape myrtle of the neighbor garden is beautiful.
It is right a summer flower!
The white crape myrtle bloomed in my garden too, 

but the tree had died in a past year.

握り寿司

７月１５日（水）

家庭料理にも疲れて来たので、今日はお寿司を。

ザ・コンラン・ショップのガラスの器で小さな夏を演出。

数年前ロンドンに暫く滞在した時住んでいたチェルシーのフラットの隣が

ザ・コンラン・ショップの本店だった。モダンでハイクラスの品々を

見るのが楽しく、始終立ち寄っていた。

We were tired from a home-cooked meal, today the lunch was sushi.
I served sushi on a plate of the glass of the Conran shop.

The next door  of the flat of Chelsea London where I stayed 

in  a while several years ago was the head office of the Conran shop.
It was pleasant to see the articles of the high class at  the Conran shop 

and dropped in all the time.

茗荷

７月１４日（火）

この夏、広くはない裏庭は茗荷に占拠されてしまった。

今日は第一陣の収穫。店で売っているのと違って、香りが強く野生的な味である。

淡い黄色の花は飾りにしてもいいし、食べても良い。

The backyard of our home has been occupied in this summer 

by Japanese ginger(myouga).
It was the first harvest this year today.
In comparison with what sell at a vegetable store,

the fragrance is strongly nature-like.    
The flower of the light yellow color may make a decoration and may eat.

お誕生日

７月１３日（月）

昨日、７月１２日はミセスマスダの誕生日。

長男達からのケーキでお茶を頂く。ロイヤル・コペンハーゲンの器で。

　

友人や息子たちから届いたバースデイカードとパチリ。

Yesterday, July 12 was a birthday of Mrs. Masuda.
We had the tea with the cake of the present by children.
The tea set of Royal Copenhagen having been used at the tea time of course.

槿花 （むくげ）

７月１２（日）

裏庭で槿花が咲き始めた。

鉢植えの一樹を土に下して二十年余、３，４メートルを超すまでに育った。

一日花なのだが夏の終わりまで、毎日、毎日咲き続ける。

花の芯の色から「そこ紅」とも、茶人”宗旦”が好んだからと「宗旦むくげ」とも言われる。

Rose of Sharon(Mukuge) has begun to bloom.

20 years ago,we planted this tree in our backyard.
The tree grew up to  3 or 4 meters high.

This flower continues blooming a flower every day until a summer end.

As the color of the core of the flower is red, 

it is also known as "Sokobeni ".
Because master of tea ceremony "Sohtan" liked this flower, 

it is said to be "Sohtan mukuge",too,

アンスリュウム

７月８日（水）

いつ頃、この花は我家に来たのだろう？

二十年位経つかなあ。

小さな花だが、冬場は室内で、春から初冬にかけてはテラスで一年中咲いている。

植替えもしないので、何年経っても小振りで愛らしい。

Anthurum

When would this flower came to our garden?

We think that around 20 years pass.
It is a small flower, but blooms on a terrace throughout the year.
As we do not transplant it, it is lovely in small size 

even if it passes how many years.

キッシュ・ロレーヌ

７月６日（月）

今日のお昼はキッシュ・ロレーヌ。

これはミスターマスダの好物。

まだ　外出は控えた方がよさそうなので

家庭料理もあれこれ工夫が大事。

Today's lunch was quiche Lorraine.
This is a favorite of Mr. Masuda.
We do not go out at this time because of Corona.
The meal becomes the home-cooked meal.
As for the menu, a variation and invention are important.

茉莉花

７月５日（日）

茉莉花（アラビアンジャスミン）

茉莉花とは様々な種類があるジャスミンの内、このアラビアンジャスミンの事を指す。

ジャスミンティの材料でもある。

Arabian jasmine at  our garden.
It is Arabian jasmine said to be Matsurika in Japanese.
They are materials for the jasmine tea.

水引草

７月２日（木） 

水引草。Jampseed

歳時記では「秋」に入るが、関東のこの辺りでは６月末には

花を見せる。

我家では門から玄関まで、この紅色の花が群生する。

初秋の頃、茶席に飾られるこの花の風情は良いものだ。

白い花の水引草もあって「銀水引」と呼ばれる。

咲いている花はなかなか上手に撮れないので、

インターネットから引かせて頂いた。

 Jampseed (Mizuhikisou )

The word 'Jampseed' is a season word to express autumn in the compendium.

However this  flower of the Jampseed  grass blooms at the end of June in Kanto aria.
The flower of this crimson grows in colonies from the gate to the entrance in my home.
This flower that is displayed in the tea-ceremony room is tasteful.
