ミートパイ

８月３日（水）

ミスターマスダの大好物、ミートパイ。

日頃作陶で鍛えている腕を買われて今日はパイ生地を一枚ずつ伸ばす仕事が回って来た。１０センチほどの正方形にという事だが、中々思うようにはゆかなず、少々大きめの長方形になってしまう。

フィリングを包んでオーブンで焼くのはミセスの仕事。

見た目はまあまあ、味は変わらぬ我家の味。

愉しいクッキングタイムであった。

A favorite dish, a meat pie of Mr. Masuda.
Using a technique of the pottery, I lengthened one piece of piecrust.
I tried It to make in the square approximately 10 centimeters, but was difficult.
It became the slightly large rectangle.
It was a work for Mrs. Masuda who putted filling and baked with an oven.
The taste of of our meat pie did not change.
It was happy cooking time.

朝顔

８月１日（月）

今日は八朔（八月一日）朝顔初花。タイムリーにと言うか漸く一輪咲いた。

苗を植えた時は藍色と思っていたのだが,何と何と・・・・。

淡いブルーに彩られた真っ白な朝顔は格別の美しさ、気に入った。

朝の楽しみが生れた。

One morning glory bloomed at our garden for the first time this year.
When we planted a seedling, thought it was to be indigo blue・・・・
The pure white morning glory colored with light blue.

We love its particular beauty.
Morning pleasure will be continued.

白桃

７月２９日（金）

今夏も岡山名産・白桃が届いた。

関西勤務の頃の上司の奥様が毎年贈って下さる。

上司の方は十年程前に亡くなられているのに、奥様は未だに御丁寧な御挨拶を下さる。

有難い事である。

これから暫くは絶品の味を堪能させて頂こう。

A white peach（Hakutou) of Okayama arrived this summer.
The wife of my business superior at old days gave it to us every year.
Though he died ten years ago, his wife continued to sent it to us. We are thankful for.
We can enjoy the taste of peach for a while from now on.

ティータイム

７月２７日（水）

「御茶でもしようか？」と千疋屋のケーキを持って長男がやって来た。

ここのケーキはフルーツが格別の美味しさ、我家、大贔屓のお店である。

三十年近く親しくしている歌人のSKさんから頂いた「TAITUの林檎紋様のティーセット」で午後のお茶を頂いた。

The eldest son came over with the cake of the Senbikiya.

 "Shall we have a afternoon tea?"

By the way, Mr. Masuda likes Shortcake in particular.

We had a tea in "the tea cup of the apple pattern of TAITU" which were our favorite.

うなぎ

７月２３日（土）

御仲人第一号、ミスターマスダが三十三歳ミセスが二十八歳の時にお見合いから御両親への紹介,結納等々、頼まれ仲人ではなく本格的にアレンジし以後五十余年お付合いしているKR夫妻が鰻の白焼きを十串送ってくれた。

今日は「土用の丑」、ダイニングテーブルに調理器を持ち出して

「白焼き」、「蒲焼き」を堪能した。美味！美味！、これ以上の鰻は希めない。

A friend gave ten skewers of ell to us. 

It is the day of " Doyo the hottest day on summer" today. We ate the ell  promptly with thanks.
At first we steamed the ell for 15 minutes. Then we baked them until reached brown color. 

It became "Shirayaki".  We sprinkled Japanese pepper on this and ate them with a soy sauce  and wasabi. 

Next dish, It became "the Kabayaki" when we intertwined the ell with sweet sauce.
Delicious! Delicious! Thank you for the delicious meal.

ドライフラワー

７月２２日（金）

裏庭で長らく咲き盛っていた紫陽花が夏の暑い陽射しを浴びその花びらは

藍色・紫・桃色と微妙な色合いを見せ美しいドライフラワーとなった。

来年の紫陽花の季節まであちらこちらに飾り愉しめるのが嬉しい。

The hydrangea which bloomed for a long time in our backyard and  became the dried flower.
The petal which absorbed summer hot sunlight became a delicate color including indigo blue, purple, the pink.
I am glad that I can display them in many places and can enjoy this dried flower until the season of hydrangea of the next year.

７月１８日（月）

友人のSG氏は自宅に蘭専用の温室を持っていて五十年程前から「原種の蘭」だけを

育てている。ずっと前にこの友人から貰った蘭が今年は沢山花を付けた。

素人の悲しさ花の向きが揃っていないのが残念だ。

Our close friend has a greenhouse for exclusive use of the orchid at his home and 

brings up "only the orchid of the progenitor".
The orchid which we got from him bloomed a lot of flowers this year. 

 As we were  amateur photographer, the picture was not attractive.

バースデーカード

７月１４日（木）

十二日、今日はミセスマスダの誕生日。

友人や家族からバースデイカードや手作りのプラムジャムが届いて

大喜び。元気に八十？歳を迎えて　結構、結構。

12th of July, today is a birthday of Mrs. Masuda. 

The birthday lunch was sushi.  We ate "the sea urchin" of our favorite a lot.
Several cards and handmade field plum jam were given by her friend and  family.

Delighted.

ハイビスカスとダリアi

７月１０日（日）

夏は庭に咲く花数が少なくなって淋しい事だ。

そんな中、ハイビスカスとダリアが咲き始めた。

ハイビスカスは花弁が二段に咲くちょっと面白い花、莟が沢山見えているので

暫くは楽しめそうである。

It is seen lonesome in the summer as there is little number of the flowers blooming

in our garden.
Meanwhile, a hibiscus and a dahlia have begun to bloom.
As the hibiscus has a lot of buds growing, the flower will continue blooming from now on.

父の日の事を・・・・・

７月４日（月）

少し時が経ってしまったが父の日の事を。

今年も子供達から心の籠ったお祝いが届いた。

仙台銘菓「千日餅」。漉し餡・黒胡麻餡・抹茶餡・ずんだ餡、色々あってどれも上々。

そうこうしているうちにその頃欧州へ出張していた息子も帰国して本場のチョコレート

を持って訪ねてくれた。

ミセスマスダマスダからはカラフルなスニーカーの贈物があって今年も良い「父の日」

だった。　

レモン・ラズベリー・ヘーゼルナッツ等々、様々なムースがチョコレートで包まれている

新感覚のチョコレート。

The time has passed a little, but Father's Day.
The celebration that was full of the heart from our children was delivered  this year as always.

Sendai cake  "Sen-nichi mochi "from my son.    Thy were very good with Macha-tea.

Meanwhile, our second son who went on a business trip  to Europe at that time gave me  a genuine chocolate as a father's day present.

Also there was the present of colorful sneakers from Mrs. Masuda.
Everything were marvelous.
