RoboCupJunior Rescue New Simulation 「ハザードマップ」について

今年の RoboCupJunior のデモ競技だった、 Rescue New Simulation についてですが・・・

 

これまで、何度もできてきたこれ

ルールでは　hazard maps と書かれています。

普通に書くと・・・ハザードマップ　ですね。

この「ハザードマップ」という言葉、今年はニュースで良く出てきました。

今年は、大雨による土砂災害が多かったからか・・・「地域のハザードマップをよく確認してください。」というようなアナウンスが良く聞かれました。

普通に「ハザードマップ」というと、地図に（何かしらの）危険な場所が書き込まれたものですよね。

マップだから地図！

ということで、普通に「ハザードマップ」というと「地図」のことです。（当たり前！）

でも、New SIM の「hazard maps」というのは、地図ではなく、マーク（標識!?）です。（これ正しいの!?）

 

段々と、この New SIM の「hazard maps」って、使い方が間違っているのではないか？　という疑問が湧いてきました。

 

いろいろと確認すると・・・New SIM の「hazard maps」は、オトナのRescue から来ているらしいと聞きました。（それも、RMRC : RoboCupRescue League – Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge）

さて、このページのどこにルールがあるのかが、分かりません。（メニューが分かりにくい！）

下の方に・・・

The Rules:

Being a demo competition in 2016, the rules are still being worked out (and indeed, will change during the competition as we discover better ways of running things). We will be based on the rules for the Major competition, available here.

というのを見つけたけど・・・2016年のルールがそのまま今も変わっていないの!?

 

これもいろいろ聞いたら・・・メニューの 「The Competition and Arena」の一番下に「Rulebook 2019」というのがありました。　これが最新のルールのようです。

では早速、ルールを見てみます。

 

RMRCのルール（私が見たのは v1.5）には、「hazard maps」というのはありません。

その代わりに、「The hazardous materials」と「Hazmat」というのがありました。

「Hazmat」は、英和辞典にも掲載されていいて「hazardous materials」のことでした。

さらに・・・RMRCのルールの1.4.1に

The hazardous materials labels must be automatically detected and recognised. The location and identity of the labels should be indicated in the video displayed to the operator. No objects that are not hazardous materials labels should be indicated and the same region should not be indicated as multiple labels. There should be no operator intervention in the detection and recognition of the labels.

このように、ちゃんと The hazardous materials labels と書かれています。

つまり「危険物ラベル」ですね。　これなら納得です。

 

私の想像だと・・・New SIMのルール検討時に、RMRCの「hazardous materials labels 」を採用しようとして

　hazardous materials labels
　　↓
　hazardous materials
　　↓　
　hazmat
　　↓
（音声で）はざまっと
　　↓
（音声で）はざまっぷ
　　↓
　hazard maps

と変化していったのではないかと・・・（あくまで想像　笑）

 

と言うことで、New SIM での「hazard maps」は、正しくは「hazardous materials labels」なんじゃないかと・・・

（あくまで、hazard maps が正しいというのであれば、せめて hazard map signs くらいにして欲しいです）
