RoboCupJunior Rescue Line - Rules 2022 Draft 01

いつのまにか、RoboCupJunior の Rescue Line と Rescue Maze の 2022年Draft ルールが公開されていました。

昔は、前年ルールとの変更点が赤く着色されていて、その部分だけを読んでいたのですが・・・最近は、最初から全部読みなおします。

何故かというと・・・変更部分の着色が間違っていたり、削除された部分は着色されなかったりして、結局変更部分がどこだか正確に表されていない場合が多かったからです。

今回は2021年ルールからの変更点はほとんどなく、ルール公開後に見つかったバグの修正などが組み込まれただけのようです・・・でも、全部読んでみました。

 

では、ロボカップジュニアのレスキュールール研究家の M&Y父 として研究の成果を報告します。（笑）

以下は、ルールを改めて読んでみて、んっ！　と思ったことです。（昨年ルールから変更がない部分かもしれません）

 

1.1.2. The volunteers, referees and officials will act within the spirit of the event to ensure the competition is competitive, fair and, most importantly, fun.

競技の運営者が列挙されているのですが、ボランティア、審判、オフィシャルと並んでます。これ記載する順番が逆ですよね。

 

2.2.2. Competitors should be aware that tiles may be mounted on thick backing or raised off the ground, which may make it difficult to get back on a tile where the robot comes off the course. No provision will be made to assist robots that drive off of a tile to get back onto the tile.

この最後の文章は、「タイルから出たら」じゃなくて「フィールドから出たら（落ちたら）」ですよね。

だから

No provision will be made to assist robots that drive off of a field to get back onto the field.

が正しいと思います。

 

2.3.2. Straight sections of the black line may have gaps with at least 5 cm of straight line before each gap as measured from the shortest portion of the straight portion of the line. The length of a gap will be no more than 20 cm.

ギャップの説明ですが・・・

from the shortest portion of the straight portion of the line.

portion of が重なっているけど・・・これ誤記じゃないかなぁ・・・英語はこれで合ってるの!?

 

2.3.5. The line will end with a goal tile, which has a 25mm x 300mm strip of red tape in the centre of the tile, perpendicular to the incoming line.

ゴールタイルに貼られる赤テープの大きさですが・・・他のテープと合わせて 25mm×250mmにすれば統一されてスッキリなのですが・・・まあ、これは単なる意見です。

 

2.4.5. The number of checkpoint markers and their locations will be predetermined by the field designers.

チェックポイントマーカーの数の説明をしていますが、必要なのはマーカーの数では無くて、チェックポイントの数ですよね。

だから

The number of checkpoint and their locations will be predetermined by the field designers.

これが正しいのでは・・・

昔は、チェックポイントマーカーをチームキャプテンに渡して、チーム側がチェックポイントを決めていたので、（チェックポイント）マーカーの数が重要だったかもですが、現在はチェックポイントを運営者側が決めるので、マーカーは重要ではなくなりました。

 

2.8.6. Teams can choose between two different evacuation points, which are both right angled triangles with sides of 30 cm × 30 cm:
◦ Level one: The evacuation point is a black triangle with a bump of 5mm along the side that does not touch a wall.
◦ Level two: The evacuation point is a black triangle with 6 cm walls and a hollow centre.

ルール本文では Level one 、Level two ですが・・・

この絵（図）の　Level 1、Level 2 と表現が合っていません。（まあ、これも単に表記の整合性の問題ですね）

 

2.9.1. Victims may be located anywhere on the floor of the evacuation zone.

2.9.4. The victims will be located randomly in the evacuation zone. 

どちらも被災者の配置の説明なので、片方で説明すれば良いと思います。（二度書かれると、しつこい感じ・・・）

 

3.2.4. Wireless communication must be used correctly as described on the RoboCupJunior General Rules.
Robots performing other types of wireless communication need to be deleted or disabled. If the robot has other forms of wireless communication equipment, the team needs to prove that they are disabled. Non-conforming robots may be immediately disqualified from the tournament.

「（General rulesnに書かれている以外の）他の種類の無線装置が搭載されている場合」という説明が２回出てきて、読み辛いです。これ、１つになりませんかねぇ・・・（これも、長いフェーズを二度書かれると、しつこい！　笑）

 

3.2.7. Robots must be equipped with a handle which is to be used to pick them up during the scoring run.

近年追加された謎ルールです。得点走行中にロボットを持ち上げるためのハンドル（把手）をロボットに装備しなくてはなりません。（必須ということ）　なぜ、ロボットを持ち上げる必要があるのでしょうか？　逆に、得点走行中にロボットを持ち上げる必要が無いようなロボットを作りましょうよ！　ねぇ。

 

3. Robot

昔は、ロボットの大きさの規定がありました。でも、現在は大きさの規定がありません。

審判をやる身としては、ロボットの大きさを規定して欲しいです。（少なくとも１つのタイルに収まる大きさになるようにルール化して欲しい。）

チェックポイントから再スタートするときに、チェックポイントの後ろ側に壁があったり、傾斜路があったりして、後ろ側に空間が無い場合があります。ロボットの長さが30cm（１タイル分）を越えているときに、スタート位置をどのようにすれば良いのか分かりません。またアームなどを下ろしても１タイルを越えない大きさにすべきと考えます。（アームを下ろして30cmを越えるロボットがアームを下ろしたまま競技進行停止になると、やっぱり困ります）

 

3.3.6.  A student will not be able to participate in the RoboCupJunior Bangkok 2022 if he/she has participated in any two of the following international competitions:

これまで Rescue Line で世界大会に２回参加したチームは、2022年のバンコク世界大会に参加できない・・・訳ではなく、バンコク世界大会に Rescue Line では参加できないだけで、他の競技だったら参加できますよね。

いっそ、全てのサブリーグで、同じサブリーグで２回国際大会に出たら、そのサブリーグには参加できない・・・にしても良いと思います。逆になんで、Rescue Line だけ、そういう縛りがあるの？

 

3.4.5. Students will be asked about their preparation efforts and may be requested to answer surveys and participate in video-taped interviews for research purposes.

いまどき「ビデオテープ」は使わないでしょう。普通に「録画してのインタビュー」で良いのでは・・・

 

4.2.2 The captain can move the robot only when they are told to do so by a referee.

これは、得点走行中の話ですよね。前提の文が抜けてます。

 

4.3.3. Calibration does not count as pre-mapping.　

これも、近年追加された謎ルールです。キャリブレーション（校正）はプレマッピングではありません。　そんなの当たり前ですよね。なんで、こんな説明が必要なのでしょうか？

 

4.4.4. Teams are not allowed to give their robot any advance information about the field. A robot is supposed to recognize the field elements by itself.

しつこいぐらいに出てくる、プレマッピング禁止のルール！

3.1.3. 、4.2.5 にもプレマッピング禁止の文があるので、すこし整理して欲しいです。（何度も書かれると、しつこい！　笑）

 

4.5.8. The rescue kit will be left in the exact location (even if it is located on the robot) when a lack of progress is called.

ロボットにレスキューキットを搭載した状態で競技進行停止して、ロボットを持ち上げた時にレスキューキットを落とすチームがありました。この場合、キットをロボットに戻して良いのかはっきりしません。ルールに書かれている通りに素直に解釈すると・・・競技進行停止が宣言された時にはレスキューキットはロボットに載っていたよね。じゃあ、（競技進行停止中にロボットから落としてしまったとしても）宣言された時の状態そのままにするんだから、落としたレスキューキットはロボットの上に載せて（戻して）から競技再開になるってことね・・・これでいいの？

 

4.6.8. When a lack of progress occurs between checkpoints (or checkpoint and exit) containing an evacuation zone, 0.025 for level one evacuation point, 0.05 for level two evacuation point will be deducted from each of the obtained multiplier (however multipliers will not be less than 1).

exit と書くと救助ゾーン（evacuation zone）の出口を意味すると思います。ですので exit ではなく goal tile が正しいと思います。

 

5.2.6. The poster should include name of team, country, league, robot description, robot capabilities, controller and programming language used, sensors included, method of construction, time used for development, cost of materials and awards won by the team in its country, etc.

正しくは country or region ですかねぇ。　これ、大昔の表現が、そのまま残っているのではないでしょうか。香港やマカオが参加するようになってから region の表現が追加になったと思います。

4.5.7 If a lack of progress occurs in the evacuation zone, all victims (including ones that have rolled) will remain in their current position. Victims that are held by the robot will be placed roughly on the location of the robot when the lack of progress occurred in the evacuation zone. If a lack of progress occurs as the robot exits the evacuation zone whilst carrying victims, the victims will be randomly placed in the evacuation zone.

競技進行停止になったときの被災者の取り扱いです。

もし、救助ゾーンの中でロボットが被災者を運んだまま競技進行停止になったら、ルールでは被災者をロボットから取り除いて（外して、降ろして）被災者を（競技進行停止のときに）ロボットがいた場所に置きます。

これ、もし、ロボットが被災者をガッチリ掴んでいた場合、競技進行停止中にロボットを変形させて被災者を取り出すことになります。これは、「4.4.2 の競技中の修理禁止」と矛盾すると思います。

同様に、4.5.7.のルール後半では、ロボットが被災者を運んだまま救助ゾーンを出ると、被災者を取り外して再配置すると書かれています。これも同じように、ロボットから被災者を取り外すのにロボットの変形が必要かもしれません。

だから、競技進行停止の間にロボットを変形させない（＝被災者を積んでいたら、積んだまま）というルールにするのが良いと思います。

 

レスキューキットは、競技進行停止時に何もしない（＝ロボットに積んでいたら、積んだまま）なので、やっぱり現状のルールでは被災者とレスキューキットで扱いが違って、美しくないです。
