ミセスマスダは、子供の頃住んでいた家にこの花があって

友だちと髪飾りにして遊んだそうだ。

愛らしい花である。この季節白い花は特に良い。

Mrs. Masuda played with Kodemari(traditional Japanese handball grass) as 

a hair  accessory  in her childhood.     It is a lovely flower.
A white flower is particularly good for the present season.

サラダ ニソワーズ

我家にはフランス北西部ブルターニュ地方カンペールの魚型の大皿がある。

此の地方の衣装を着た男女が向き合っているこの模様は、カンペールの器の

どれにも描かれている。

ニューヨークに赴任した時に友人から頂いて以来五十年余り使っている。

今や我家の宝物の一つである。 今日はニース風サラダを。

We had a fish-shaped platter of Quimper of Bretagne France. 

Quimper unique picture was drawn on the platter.
We used it for more than 50 years since we were presented by a friend in New York.
It is one of the treasures of our family now.
Today, Nice-style salad(La Salade Nicoise) on the platter.
