水上温泉

先週末、世界一周船旅で親しくなったM夫妻と二泊三日水上温泉への小旅行をした。赤とんぼが飛び交い秋の空気が心地良かった。

 

滞在三日目、夜半から降り出した雨が上り、部屋の窓に広がる山々は

深い霧に包まれて美しい朝を迎えた。

奥利根川の渓流に臨む露天風呂。樹木の間を渡る風と川音を楽しみながらの温泉三昧であった。

 

M夫妻とは四年振りの再会、尽きる事がないお喋りに極上の時を過ごした。

近くに「清水トンネル」で使われていた機関車が展示されていたので

往時を偲びつつパチリ。

 

We took a short trip to a Minakami hot spring for two nights and three days with the M couple, whom we had become close to during my round-the-world boat trip.

Dragonflies were flying around, and the autumn air was pleasant.

On the third day of our stay, the rain that had started in the middle of the night cleared up, and the mountains outside the window were shrouded in thick fog, welcoming a beautiful morning.

After the fog had lifted, we enjoyed the outdoor hot spring overlooking the rapids of the Tonegawa River, listening to the wind rustling through the trees and the sound of the river.

 Nearby, there was an exhibition of a locomotive that had been used in the "Shimizu Tunnel" in the past, so we took a picture to reminisce about those days.
