dispatch に殺す（しかも素早く）なんていう意味があったとは。
次はサラブレッドの記事。
Mike Hays, a horse racing fan from Little Rock, Arkansas, was among the admirers of the horse that won the first two legs of the Triple Crown in 2008.
この記事のTriple Crown というのはアメリカクラシック三冠と呼ばれるケンタッキーダービー、ブリークネスステークス、ベルモントステークスの三つのサラブレットレースのことだそうです。
leg には旅行の行程とかリレーの一区間なんていう意味がありますが、こんな風に三冠のうちの二つなんて使い方もするんですね。
もう一つは国内のニュースのタイトル。

復興構想会議は前途多難。
exact (a) toll on は～に犠牲を強いる。
exact は～を要求する、強要するという動詞でもあったのか。それがわからないとこのタイトルの意味はさっぱりわからない。
