先日亡くなったエリザベス・テーラーの「クレオパトラ」のことを指しています。

TVドラマから、
get tented 害虫駆除をする。
字幕に「害虫駆除」をすると出ていたものの、それらしい英語が全然聞こえてきませんでした。
英語字幕をチェックしたら get tented でした。
家全体をテントで覆って害虫駆除をするので、こう言うらしいです。知らなきゃ全然わからない。

目覚ましの音に気付かずに寝過ごす。目覚ましだけでなく色々な場面で使える便利な表現。
I missed the first chapter of the film because I was asleep. より
I slept through the first chapter of the film. の方が気がきいてる？
検索したらラジ子さんのブログにヒット。「英語５分間トレーニング」で出てきてました。

ある説が間違いだったことを証明する。
日本語で説明すると長いけど英語だと一語で言えてしまうという単語けっこうありますよね。miss とか。まあ、その逆のパターンも多いと思いますが（いい例が浮かばないけど）。
英文添削のコメントから、
montoさんのブログで紹介されていた「全然別のもの」という意味の different animal が添削のコメントで使われていました。
I was told to bring some identification and my driver's license would do.
これが私の英文。
I was told to bring some identification and that my driver's license would do.
これが添削後の英文。
that が追加されただけですが、そのコメントがこれ。
The two objects of 'told' are different grammatical animals: 'to bring some identification' is an action you are instructed to do, and it is an infinitive phrase; the second is a fact about procedures, and it is a relative clause. Since there is no prior relative clause (with its relative pronoun) to key the reader in on this being a relative clause, to keep it from being mistaken for a main clause, I recommend inserting a relative pronoun ('that'): You were told 'that' your driver's license would do.
