ジョニ・ミッチェルJoni Mitchellの作品。1943年11月カナダ生まれのシンガーソングライターで画家。1969年セカンド・アルバム「青春の光と影」で成功。1969年から2007年にかけて、グラミー賞を9回も受賞している。
当初はフォーク・ソング風だったが、後年５０代に編曲をしてムーディな曲となった。日本のテレビでよく聴くと言われるが、私はテレビを観ないのでよく分からないが、映画の背景にも使われてもいる。
わたしの観た範囲では、’０１「海辺の家」の家族で家を建てる場面に流れていたし、’０３「ラブ・アクチュアリー」にもエマ・トンプソンが夫の浮気を知って、寝室で涙を流す場面に使われていた。
ジョニ・ミッチェルで、「青春の光と影」をフォーク調とムード調を聴き比べるのもいいでしょう。
