「坂の上の美少女」

吉永小百合<よしながさゆり>1945年都内代々木の生まれ。父は東大法学部を卒業後に外務省を経て「シネ・ロマンス」という映画雑誌を刊行。しかし事業に失敗したため、少女時代の吉永小百合は新聞配達して家計を支えようとしていたと語っています。

「夏草の 陰に息づく 青がえる」<鬼百合>

吉永小百合は、地元の代々木中学から目黒の駒場高校へ入学。そして、早稲田大学の文学部に入学し文学士の称号を得ています。1957年「赤胴鈴之助」というラジオ東京の連続ドラマでデビュー。1959年「朝を呼ぶ口笛」が映画での初作品となります。1962年「キューポラのある街」の主役に抜擢。そして大ヒット曲「いつでも夢を」で歌手としても広く知られるようになります。

余談となりますが、吉永小百合の駒場高校は井の頭線を挟んで東大の反対側。東大前の小さな商店街を抜け坂の上にあります。「昔、坂の上に美少女がいた」行きつけの八百屋の店主から聞いたことがあります。

「川澄みて 魚の背きらりと そぞろ寒し」<鬼百合>

吉永小百合は、松原智恵子、和泉雅子らと日活三人娘といわれ、純愛・青春の映画に出演。爆発的な人気を得る女優となりますが、清純な娘役から大人の女優への脱皮に逡巡。そのため、周囲を驚かすほど大胆な役柄や役作りに挑戦しています。しかし、定着した清純なイメージは払拭できなかったようです。その後、映画の衰退によりTVへ移行。NHK「夢千代日記」では艶やかな大人の女性の心情を演じきり高い評価を得ています。

母方の祖母が、英文出版の社長。叔母は「婦人画報」の編集長。吉永小百合と文学との繋がりは生まれながらにしてあったと思われます。吉永小百合は「東京やなぎ句会」にも参加しています。実は「破礼句」を詠んでいます。俳句では、人間味あふれる吉永小百合の体温を感じることができるようです。ちなみに俳号は「鬼百合」<きゆり>

近年は反戦や脱原発などのボランティアへ活動の場を移しています。吉永小百合。お酒に強い小柄なスイマー。そして限りなく魅力あふれる女性。現在76歳。

Sayuri Yoshinaga.Born in Yoyogi, Tokyo in 1945. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, her father went through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published a movie magazine called "Cine Romance." However, she says that because of the failure of her business, Girls' Generation Sayuri Yoshinaga was trying to support her household by delivering newspapers.

Sayuri Yoshinaga entered Komaba High School in Meguro from her local Yoyogi Junior High School. And she enrolled in the Faculty of Letters at Waseda University and she has the title of Bachelor of Arts. She made her debut in 1957 with a serial drama on Radio Tokyo called "Akado Suzunosuke". Her 1959 she made her first film in her movie, "The Whistle Calling the Morning." She was selected as the protagonist of "City with Cupola" in 1962. And with her blockbuster song "Always Dream", she became widely known as a singer.

As an aside, Sayuri Yoshinaga's Komaba High School is on the other side of the University of Tokyo across the Inokashira Line. It is located on a slope through a small shopping street in front of Todaimae. I've heard from the owner of a favorite greengrocer, "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl on the slope."

Sayuri Yoshinaga is said to be the three daughters of Nikkatsu, including “Chieko Matsubara” and “Masako Izumi”, and has appeared in pure love and youth movies. She becomes an actress who gains explosive popularity, but she crawls from her innocent daughter role to an adult actress. She is therefore challenging her bold roles and roles to the extent that she surprises her surroundings. However, it seems that her innocent image that had taken root could not be dispelled. She then moved to TV due to the decline of her film. In NHK's "Yume Chiyo Diary", she plays the emotions of a lustrous adult woman and she is highly evaluated.

The maternal grandmother is the president of English publishing. Her aunt is the editor-in-chief of "Fujin Gaho". It seems that the connection between Sayuri Yoshinaga and her literature was her natural connection. Sayuri Yoshinaga also participates in the "Tokyo Yanagi Kukai". She actually wrote a "rude phrase". In haiku, you can feel the body temperature of Sayuri Yoshinaga, who is full of humanity. By the way, her haiku name is "Tiger lily" <Kiyuri>
