南青山の根津美術館前から六本木への道。狭い坂道を降りていきます。しかし、昔からあった家が見当たりません。たしか、老夫婦がお住まいになっていた筈。代わりに簡素な平屋が建っています。庭では奥様が庭木の手入れをされていました。奥様に声を掛けると、ご主人は鬼籍入りしたとの由。数多な庭木も手入れがいるので撤去されたそうです。しかし、ご主人の好きな紅椿は残したまま。坂下に広がる六本木の街並み。淡く霞んで見えました。
