「堅香子の 万葉一首 想い馳せ」I think about the head of the “Manyoshu” of “Katakuri”.

堅香子<かたかご> かたくりの意。万葉集で歌われたのはこの一首のみ。作者である大伴家持は越中に5年間赴任。現在の高岡市の勝興寺の情景と伝えられています。「もののふの 八十娘子<やそとめ>らが 汲み乱ふ 寺井の上の 堅香子<かたかご>の花」歌意は「少女たちが水を汲む寺の井戸に咲くかたくりの花。なんと可憐なのだろう」ちなみに、大伴家持はかたくりの群生を少女に例えたともいわれています。Katakago.
