Turning to the United States, where politicians are facing off against face masks.
The politicized debate over masks is heating up after the governor of the state of Georgia moved to block mayors from enforcing face coverings in their jurisdictions.
Republican Brian Kemp issued an executive order to nullify all local mandates requiring residents to wear face coverings on Wednesday.
He did not give specific reasons for his order. But local media say the governor believes making masks mandatory is not effective.
On Thursday, Kemp filed a lawsuit against Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. The largest city in Georgia introduced a mask mandate, including fines for violations, on July 8.
Kemp argues that Bottoms violated the executive order already issued by the state.
The mayor says she won't back down and will see the state in court.

"We all have to do the right thing because it's the right thing to do. And what the scientists are telling us is that the right thing to do is to wear a mask."
