都会の風景であっても、それがゆたかな自然事象のなかに渾然と含みこまれ、いつも清澄の風情がくみとれる広重の風景版画。「東都名所」「名所江戸百景」「本所名所」など、当時出版されたシリーズを解体し、月・雪・花と雨にテーマを分類して再編成。それを現代の彫師・摺師による復刻版画として再現しています。

歌川 広重（うたがわ ひろしげ、寛政9年（1797年） - 安政5年9月6日（1858年10月12日）は、浮世絵師。本名安藤鉄蔵。
江戸の定火消しの安藤家に生まれ家督を継ぎ、その後に浮世絵師となった。
かつては安藤広重（あんどう ひろしげ）とも呼ばれたが、安藤は本姓、広重は号であり、両者を組み合わせて呼ぶのは不適切で、広重自身もそう名乗ったことはない。
また、ゴッホやモネなどの画家に影響を与え、世界的に著名な画家である。
