Netflix says its subscriber list has topped 200 million for the first time.
The U.S. streaming service provider picked up 8 and a half million new users in the last three months of 2020.
As people stay home during the coronavirus pandemic, more and more of them are signing up for the service to fill their time.
The company says it took in over 6.6 billion dollars in revenue in the October-to-December period, up 21 percent from the year before. But net profits dropped over seven percent to 542 million dollars.
Looking ahead, the company predicts membership will expand by another 6 million in the current quarter through March.
That is despite some fierce competition in the entertainment streaming industry.
