【印象に残った一行】
｢明るく静かで澄んで懐かしい文体、少しは甘えているようでありながｒ、きびしく深いものを湛えている文体、夢のように美しいが現実のようにたしかな文体｣
何度も読んで暗記してしまった原民喜の文章の一説を思い出す。それ自体が美しくて、口にするだけで気持ちが明るむ。僕が調律で目指すところを、これ以上よく言い表している言葉はないと思う。

【コメント】
少し変わった題名の｢羊と鋼の森」の由来は読んでのお楽しみ。

JAPANESE ANIME SETS RECORDS IN ASIA「君の名は。」アジアで人気沸騰

A Japanese animation has been smashing box-office records in Asia. "Kimi no na wa," or "Your name.," is now the highest-grossing Japanese movie of all time in China and Thailand.
The film is a bittersweet love story about two high school students who swap bodies. It has been winning director Makoto Shinkai a lot of international attention.
The film's distributor says box-office sales in China have topped nine billion yen, or about 76 million dollars, in less than three weeks. It broke the record set by another Japanese animation, "Stand By Me Doraemon."
"Kimi no na wa" has also earned more than one million dollars in Thailand.

子撃磬於衛、有荷蕢而過孔氏之門者、曰、有心哉撃磬乎、既而曰、鄙哉、硜硜乎、莫己知也斯己而已矣、深則厲、淺則掲、子曰、果哉、末之難矣。

【書き下し文】
子、磬(けい)を衛に撃(う)つ。蕢(あじか)を荷(にな)いて孔氏の門を過ぐる者あり。曰わく、心あるかな、磬を撃つこと。既にして曰わく、鄙(いやし)きかな、硜硜乎(こ)たり。己を知ること莫(な)くんば、斯れ已(や)まんのみ、深ければ厲(れい)し、浅ければ掲(けい)す。子曰わく、果なるかな。難(かた)きこと末(な)きなり。

【現代語訳】
衛での滞在中、孔子が磬(けい：石製の打楽器)を鳴らしていた。
荷物を担いだ人が家の前を通りがかって言いました、
「音色にあなたの心が表れていますね。」
そしてしばらく聞いた後で言いました、
「つまらない音色だ、音が固くなりすぎている。"深い川では着物を脱ぎ、浅い川では裾をまくる" と詩でも言うでしょう。」
孔子は、
「思い切りの善い考え方ですね。でも私は気楽にやっていますよ。」
と答えられました。。

【English】
Confucius played the Qing (a stone drum) in Wei. Someone with a burden happened to pass by Confucius' house and said, "You are playing the drum with your feelings." He said again, "It sounds boring. You must be stubborn. The poem says, 'Undress before entering the deep river. Roll up the bottom of clothes before entering the shallow river.'" Confucius replied, "It sounds decisive. But I'm playing it easily."
『論語』とは
読んで字の如く「論じ語る」、孔子と弟子達や要人達との間に交された対話録。
『論語』は私たちの生き方の原点を見つめた思索の宝庫であり、人間性を磨く叡智が凝縮した永遠の古典。
読めば読むほど胸に深く沁み込む簡潔な言葉の数々。
『孟子』『大学』『中庸』と併せて儒教における「四書」の一つに数えられる。
全20編（学而第一～堯曰第二十） 構成され、編の名称は各編の最初の二文字を採ったものであり内容上の意味はない。
したがって、学而第一から順に読む必要はなくどこから読んでもかまわない。
