【最も印象に残った一行】

外に出ると、通路は夕べのゴミで汚れている。タバコやペットボトルや空き缶や週刊誌が落ちている。汚れた街だ。

見上げると、真っ青に晴れわたった空があった。そこだけが元旦だった。

自分の死が近くにある時、人は自分を愛してくれている人のことを思うのだろう。
