A young adventurer from Japan is scaling the heights of mountaineering literally. The 19-year-old university student has become the youngest Japanese to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents.
Supporters of Marin Minamiya say she finished her quest in Alaska on July 4th by reaching the summit of Denali. It's the tallest mountain in North America and was known until last year as Mount McKinley. Minamiya began her journey up the 6,190-meter peak in June. The previous month, she reached the summit of Mount Everest. She's the youngest Japanese to ever stand atop the world's highest mountain.
Minamiya wrote about the climb on her Facebook page, saying she "did it" and felt "a sense of accomplishment." Supporters say she began her mission to conquer all seven peaks in January of last year.

子貢曰、管仲非仁者與、桓公殺公子糾、不能死、叉相之、子曰、管仲相桓公覇諸侯、一匡天下、民到于今受其賜、微管仲、吾其被髪左衽矣、豈若匹夫匹婦之爲諒也、自経於溝涜而莫之知也。
【書き下し文】
子貢(しこう)が曰わく、管仲(かんちゅう)は仁者に非(あら)ざるか。桓公(かんこう)、公子糾(こうしきゅう)を殺して、死すること能わず。又たこれを相(たす)く。子曰わく、管仲、桓公を相(たす)けて諸侯(しょこう)に覇(は)たり、天下を一匡(いっきょう)す。民、今に到(いた)るまで其の賜(し)を受く。管仲微(な)かりせば、吾(われ)其れ髪(はつ)を被り衽(じん)を左にせん。豈(あに)に匹夫匹婦(ひっぷひっぷ)の諒(まこと)を為し、自ら溝涜(こうとく)に経(くび)れて知らるること莫(な)きが若(ごと)くならんや。

子貢(しこう)が尋ねました、
「管仲(かんちゅう)は仁者ではありませんね。桓公(かんこう)が主君である公子糾(こうしきゅう)を殺したというのに、殉死するどころか桓公に仕えるのですから。」
孔子は、
「管仲は桓公を覇者にして、天下を正したのだ。人々は今でもその恩恵を受けている。もし管仲がいなかったら、今頃我々はざんばら髪に服を左前に着るなどという蛮族の支配下で生活させられていたかも知れない。どうして溝の中で心中をはかって誰にもその死を気づいてもらえないような愚かな男女の誠実さと比べて良いだろうか。」
と答えられました。
【English】
Zi Gong asked, "Guan Zhong was not benevolent, was he? When Marquis Huan killed young lord Jiu, he did not follow his master to the grave. Moreover, he assisted Marquis Huan." Confucius replied, "Guan Zhong made Marquis Huan become a supreme ruler and reformed the world. People receive benefit from him even now. If he had not existed, we would have been under the control of barbarians who have untidy hairs and queer clothes. Why can we compare him and foolish lovers who committed a double suicide in the ditch without being noticed?"

読んで字の如く「論じ語る」、孔子と弟子達や要人達との間に交された対話録。
『論語』は私たちの生き方の原点を見つめた思索の宝庫であり、人間性を磨く叡智が凝縮した永遠の古典。
読めば読むほど胸に深く沁み込む簡潔な言葉の数々。
『孟子』『大学』『中庸』と併せて儒教における「四書」の一つに数えられる。
全20編（学而第一～堯曰第二十） 構成され、編の名称は各編の最初の二文字を採ったものであり内容上の意味はない。
したがって、学而第一から順に読む必要はなくどこから読んでもかまわない。
