"The feeling hasn't sunk in yet, but I'm so happy and truly honored to have won the award."
The winners were announced at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. The annual award is chosen by an international jury and hosted by a Russian ballet association. It recognizes dancers and choreographers who showed exceptional talent during the previous year.
Kida serves as a first soloist with the Royal Swedish Ballet. She earned high praise last year for her performance in "Juliet and Romeo," a Swedish choreographer's new interpretation of the well-known love story.
