31・舞阪（今切真景)
浜松から11.3里で舞阪に達する。ここは浜名湖の東岸の宿場である。ここから海上4里で対岸の荒井に達する。広重のこの絵は一つの風景画としては構図的にも成功している作である。この五十三次は風俗的風景がであるところが一つの特徴であるが、広重は例えば、由井。江尻のような完全ともいうべき風景画を処処にはさんで変化を与えているが、これもその内の一つをいえる。ただ、この絵で、中央に突き出ている岩山が舞阪では実際には見られない。そこで舞阪の風景としては写実的でなく、一種の想像図という外はない。深い藍の海の色が、この絵の大部分を占めているが広重の藍は、外人がヒロシゲ・ブルーと呼ぶほどに、どの絵にも印象的な美しさを与えている。右手に遠く、小さく白雪の富士が描かれているが、富士の姿も、この辺を最後に遠く視野から消えてゆく。
舞阪から対岸の荒井までを、「今切」というが、ここは古は陸地であって、浜名湖は遠州灘とは続いていなかった。明応八年（1499）の大地震と津波で、この間が切れて浜名湖と海はつながってしまった。それ故に今切の名が出来たが、切れるという名を嫌がって縁談のきまった女性はここを渡ることなく、湖辺を迂回して、本坂峠を越したという。画題は「今切真景」となっている。

絵の出典：食るり愉るり知多半島

※歌川 広重（うたがわ ひろしげ、寛政9年（1797年） - 安政5年9月6日（1858年10月12日）
浮世絵師。江戸の町火消しの安藤家に生まれ家督を継ぎ、その後に浮世絵師となったが 現代広く呼ばれる安藤広重（あんどう ひろしげ）なる名前は使用しておらず、浮世絵師としては歌川広重が正しいと言える。
天保3年（1832年）秋、広重は幕府の行列（御馬進献の使）に加わって上洛（京都まで東海道往復の旅）する機会を得たとされる。天保4年（1833年）には傑作といわれる『東海道五十三次絵』が生まれた。この作品は遠近法が用いられ、風や雨を感じさせる立体的な描写など、絵そのものの良さに加えて、当時の人々があこがれた外の世界を垣間見る手段としても、大変好評を博した。
なお、つてを頼って幕府の行列に加えてもらったとの伝承が伝わるが、実際には旅行をしていないのではないかという説もある[2]。 また、司馬江漢の洋画を換骨奪胎して制作したという説もある。

その光を今描くのには、理由がある。「年間３万人もの自殺者が出て人間の魂の恐慌を起こしている今の時代は、心の闇を抱えて皆が生きている点で、平安時代が崩壊し鎌倉政権の基盤がまだ固まっていない頃に似通っています」
と、著者の五木さんは語られています。

【原文】
子曰、關雎、樂而不淫、哀而不傷、、

【読み下し】
子の曰わく、關雎（はかんしょ）楽しみて淫せず、哀しみて傷（やぶ）らず。

【通釈】
先生がいわれた、「關雎（かんしょ）の詩は、楽しげであってもふみはずさず、悲しげであっても［心身を］いためることがない。［哀楽ともによく調和を得ている］」

【English】
The Master said, "The Kwan Tsu is expressive of enjoyment without being licentious, and of grief without being hurtfully excessive."

『論語』とは、読んで字の如く「論じ語る」、孔子と弟子達や要人達との間に交された対話録。
『論語』は私たちの生き方の原点を見つめた思索の宝庫であり、人間性を磨く叡智が凝縮した永遠の古典。
読めば読むほど胸に深く沁み込む簡潔な言葉の数々。
『孟子』『大学』『中庸』と併せて儒教における「四書」の一つに数えられる。
全20編（学而第一～堯曰第二十） 構成され、編の名称は各編の最初の二文字を採ったものであり内容上の意味はない。
したがって、学而第一から順に読む必要はなくどこから読んでもかまわない。
