BE SUPPOSED TO

  be supposed toは、いろんな意味で使われる。

　今日のGetUpEnglishは、この表現を学習する。

　「…する予定［こと］になっている、当然…するはずになっている」の意味で使われる。

◯Practical Example

　"He was supposed to meet Yayoi at three."

　"But was made to wait an hour."

　「彼は弥生に3 時に会う予定だった」

　「しかし、1 時間待たされた」

●Extra Point

  以下の例は、「……のはずになっている」の意味で使われている。

 　"Everybody raves about them."

　「ロバート・ヒルキのTOEIC問題集、評判いいのね」
