動詞findはいろんな意味でも使われるが、
「〈目標を〉見いだす, …に届く, 達する; 自然に…になる」（リーダーズ）の意味でも使われる。
今日のGetUpEnglishはこの他動詞のこの意味の使い方を学習しよう。
『リーダーズ英和辞典』の以下の用例が参考になる。
･The blow found his chin. その一撃は彼のあごをとらえた.
･find ingress [outlet] はいってくる[出てゆく].
･Rivers find their way to the sea. 川の水は海へ注ぐ.
Mark Twain, Adventures of Huckleberry Finnの13章に、以下の表現がある。傾いた難破船のなかをハックとジムが悪党たちに見つからないようにボートを探す場面だ。
We struck for the stern of the texas, and found it, and then scrabbled along forwards on the skylight, hanging on from shutter to shutter, for the edge of the skylight was in the water.
こうした古典だと、アメリカ人の研究者でもよくわからないことがあって、以下のサイトでは現代語に翻訳して伝えてくれている。

そこではご覧のようにfound itはgot thereと解釈されている。

renderはこの場合、「a (文･絵で)〈…を〉表現する, 描写する」（研究社『英和中辞典』）の意味で使われている。

動詞leverageは覚えておきたい。研究社オンライン・ディクショナリーのEVに「(うまく)活用する, 利用する, (最大限に)生かす, 武器にする」とある。

なるほど、このように使えばよい。
