CHEWBACCA / PETER MAYHEW

　スター・ウォーズのChewbaccaを演じたことで知られるイギリスの俳優Peter Mayhew（1944-2019）が亡くなった。

　今秋翻訳刊行予定のThe Moviemaking Magic of Star Wars: Creatures & Aliensに、次の記述があった。

Once the design was perfected, it was clear that Chewie would have to be played by a very tall man.

　“When Peter Mayhew walked into George’s office, [George] must have thought he’d won the lottery.
