竹の子

単身赴任の私の毎日の夕食スポット「とらまつ」にあった、竹の子。
子供の頃はこの季節よく目にしたり、掘ったこともあるが、久しぶりに現物に対面した。
こんなに大きかったのかと少し驚いた。
先日もママさんにお願いして「木の芽和え」を作っていただいたが、とても美味しかった。
また先週帰省した折我が家でも竹の子の煮物が出たがこれまた美味かった。
子供の頃は食事時「何だまた竹の子か」と言って文句を言い、母親によく叱られたことを思い出しつつ旬の「竹の子」を味わっている。
欲を言えば、「竹の子」の入った「バラ寿司」を食べてみたいが・・・。
今度の連休に妻にお願いしてみよう。
