蕎麦屋のママさんに勧められて。
【印象に残った一行】
しかし、六十になった今となっては、そういう気力がない、結婚するより別れる方が、どんなに大変か経験しているだけに、あんな大変な思いはしたくない。
それに、この年になってわかったことだが女はみんな同じである。女はそれぞれに自分の主観によるルールを持っていて、絶対にゆずろうとしない。ゆずったように見せかけても、正義は自分の方にあると思っている。
若い男はそこのところを錯覚し、女性が自分の思いどおりになると思っているが、実は長い目でみると、女の思いどおりになってしまう。
また、女の思いどおりにならないと、家庭は成立しない。家庭とは女がその分身である子供と形成するもので、男はその手助けをするに過ぎない。
そして、子供ができてしまえば、女の本能は満足されて子育てに集中する、さらに、子供が成長すれば、女と子供は家族となり、男は家族というものの距離のある存在になる。
極端なことを言えば、女は子供を得、自分の家族をつくるために結婚するとも言える。
その意味で女は強く、エゴイスティックである。
女性は他人が非常識なことをしていると、非難するが、自分が非常識なことをしていることに気づかない。
男も非常識なことをやるが、たいていは自分が非常識だと気づいているものなのである。
だから、うしろめたさを感じつつ、非常識なことをやる。
しかし、女性は後ろめたさを感じない。
【コメント】
ひょんなことから読み始めたが、著者の女性観が鋭く、的を得ており納得させられること多である。
世の男性諸氏にお奨めする。
男どもよ、女とは、天使でなく悪魔であるのだ。

阿蘇「水の国 聖線」
阿蘇の料理「からし蓮根」
火山灰が堆積した阿蘇の土壌では、上質の蓮根が収穫されます。
蓮根の穴に辛子味噌を詰め、油で揚げて作られる「からし蓮根」は、熊本県の代表的な郷土料理の一つ。
病弱だった肥後藩主・細川忠利に健康食として献上されたのが始まりで、加藤清正が熊本城の外堀で非常食として栽培していた蓮根が使われたといいます。
切り口が細川家の家紋と似ていたことから長らく門外不出の料理とされ、明治維新でようやく庶民に解禁されました。.
聖なる水の道「聖線」
「火の国」阿蘇は、水を育む「水の国」でもあります。
阿蘇カルデラは年間降水量２５００ｍｍ以上の多雨地域。
降った水は数十年～百年もの間、地下でろ過され湧き出します。
磨かれた水は飲み水や農業用水、上水道などに利用されてきました。
国造神社近くの「手野の名水」と、「神の泉」のある阿蘇神社を結んだ線上には、日本有数の湧水を誇る白川水源や水の聖地（寺社）があります。
