TO SIT

　動詞sitは「座る」であるが、「存在している、そこにある」の意味でも使われる。
『リーダーズ』の例文がすばらしい（AIやインターネットがどんなに発展しても、信頼できる辞書で用例を確認する作業は絶対必要だ）。

･The wind sits in the east. 東風だ.
･He sat at home all day. 一日中(何もしないで)家にいた.
