SHIFT

　shiftは、「（位置・方向・状態などの）変化、変更、転換」などの意味で使われる。

○Practical Example

　“There has been a shift in policy over North Korea.”

　“Yes. It seems as if America is more interested in talking with them now.” 　

　「対北朝鮮政策に変化があったね」　

　「ああ、今はアメリカが北朝鮮との対話に前より関心があるようだ」

●Extra Point 　

　to shiftと動詞でもよく使われる。

　「（ものを）移動させる、移す、転じる」とか、「（意見・態度などを）変える、（重点などを）移す」といった意味で用いられる。
